Carter Tells Wanny To Keep Him On The Roster....

From what I heard today......it appears in all liklihood that the Dolphins will keep CHRIS CARTER on the active roster....as CARTER....who is still in the hostpital....had talked with WANNY today about his prognosis...

Team DOctors and Kidney specialists alike have told the Dolphins brass that Carter should be cleared completely by a maximum of 4 weeks...but it could even be less. Carter has said that he has felt better each day since he had been treated for his kidney malfunctions....and now its just a matter of time. The bottom line here....is that CARTER still wants to return to the football field.....and the Dolphins look like they are willing to wait this thing out.

The debate all day that the coaches had in mind--was what to do with Carter. Do the cut him? Do they put him on IR? Do they put him on the non-football injury list? Any three of these moves would have ended his season one way or another.

The only problem the Dolphins have now.....is that they now have to "inactivate" Carter for each and every game he will miss.

From where I sit......I would still definately sign either SEAN DAWKINS or REDIEL ANTHONY right now.....just in case there is a setback with Carter's health. It certainly cannot hurt....one more injury to this position and we are really in trouble anyway....

Anyway.....it looks like WANNY will give CARTER his chance to return to the team..... barrring any setbacks within the next day or so.

And while I am here......It looks like DEON DYER wants out of Miami after this season is over with. I have heard that he is real ticked off about him being on the inactive list....he knows that he is not going to get much playing time in this system....and apparantly wants to see if he can go back back to where he played his college ball.....and play for the CAROLINA PANTHERS.

When will MARK DIXON ever not be banged up going into a ballgame? I heard he was not 100% in todays practice....

I am not that thrilled about ARTURO FREEMAN's play this season.....BRIAN WALKER's play last year....was better.....but ARTURO is still young. You miss WALKERS hitting ability...run stopping hits. FREEMAN is on the small side....needs more bulk.

ANd when will MERLON GREENWOOD force a fumble or make an INT....?

The Dolphins are not that thrilled with the play of JAY WILLIAMS, and ROB BURNETT......and are just satisfied....but not thrilled at all....with the impact that LARRY CHESTER has made on the line.....the coaches expected more from all.

Good post, but I think it would be pointless to sign Dawkins Anthony or anybody else because neither of them or anybody else out there is better than Ward or McNight, and certainly not Chambers. I say put McMichael out there and put Clark and/or Weaver at TE. No matter who we have until Jay gets back it's a real big guessing game with Lucas. Everyody wants him to do well so we can win, but it is damn frustrating watching him play.
 
The only problem with putting McMike out there at WR, is he doesn't know the position, much less the routes....
I wouldn't sign J. Green, R. Anthony, or S. Dawkins to start... but what happens if Chambers gets dinged again? or Ward or McKnight get hurt? Then we're stuck with .....Baker? I say grab someone with some experience to back these guys up.....
 
lol OMG i shoulda met this dirty cashin dude sooner....he totally agrees Freeman isnt doing well this season and BW was a better player than Freeman and u all were blind to see it....dirty ur the best :) makin me look good
 
I say, stand pat. It won't make any difference anyway. If a WR goes down, play Baker.

I'm sorry to hear that Deon wan'ts to leave, but I can't blame him. It sucks riding the pine, but think how Konrad feels, he's on the field and they barely use him :lol:

Who's Deon Dyer?? ;)

The one thing he does is block. And now Konrad is better than him at that too. Dyer is free to go and will be replaced by a young street free agent next year. I'm sure that the Phins have Femi's number in case something happens to Konrad.
 
I think Deon Dyer represents everything the Dolphins are not. He is an "in your face, mean, SOB, that plays with an attitude". Yes, he is not the greatest pass-reciever in the world, but he can at least block someone. Anyone think we have been doing a good job of blocking recently?
 
NO WAY Konrad is a better blocker then Dyer.. Dyer just destroys people... I would rather have him on the field blocking for Ricky... I am sure Ricky's numbers would go up... It is sad that they are not using him... Konrad is all about getting the ball, where Deon just loves to hit people... that is what we need out there right now..
 
Dyer is are best Run Blocker....we need to get him some plays and also throw him in there for play-actions....that should fool the defense.
 
I love the intensity that Dyer plays with, He has the potential to be one of the best FB in this league, just not with us. He doesnt fit this system, Konrad fits this system, I guarantee you Konrad will be in the pro bowl by next year. I dont want to see Dyer leave, I would love to see him back in Kick Returns instead of Konrad though.
