watching Vonte Davis dancing and prancing everytime he made a tackle on the field last game got me thinking. Is he going to be just like his brother? the kid has all the talent in the world but id hate for him to be primadona and an underacheiver much like his brother has been so far in San Francisco. Mike Singletary had to kick him off the field last year and nearly strangled him. Singletary is a no nonsense guy I bet he would of grabbed Vonte by the facemask and given him a piece of his mind.
 
There's absoutley nothing wrong with celebrating an excellent play.

He's a energetic rookie in pre-season. I see no problem.
 
When he starts dancin and prancin after he gets burned I'll worry.

You see no problem because there is none, my friend. Vontae had one good game and was excited about it. The kid has only played in 2 preseason games. This thread has my vote for the most retarded thread of the day. Even over the "Take the Helmet off the Dolphin" thread.
 
I didn't see the game, so I don't know what went on but...

I'm ok with it as long as the play warrants it. If he puts a monster hit on somebody and celebrates it's fine...as long as that guy didn't just catch a first down or something. I hate when players celebrate after they just let a guy catch an eight yard pass on 1st down.
 
I prance and dance when i do a tackle in madden..imagine if i played for real lol
 
WTF? The dude laid down a huge hit in the backfield after correctly diagnosing and reacting to a screen. He has every right to be excited, since that's probably the most difficult coverage problem a DB has.
 
As long as VD doesn't make a stupid penalty, like running into the punt returner after he called fair catch, I don't care if he wants to celebrate. I am sure Sparano will have a face to face talk with him if he does.
 
having played football for 8 years, some guys just need to express themselves after making a play...

i've never cared about it, as long as it's respectful to the other team's players and that the guy doesn't get a flag. So far Vontae has done neither and i don't recall him getting in trouble in college because of those celebrations (which he must've made in college, you don't just turn the switch on when you come to the nfl) so i'm not one bit worried ...
 
I wouldn't call what Vontae did 'prancing'...Prancing sounds a little gay to me. Richard Simmons prances, not Vontae Davis.
 
I'm not a big celebrating fan, however this past week you could tell the kid was excited. He hasnt been doing great in practice and he lost an opportunity to start to a draft pick picked up after him. He played well this weekend and he made some nice plays, he was excited, he wasnt show boating, he was visibly excited that he realizes he can play in the NFL. Actually he looks alot like Ronnie, always smiling, always appearing to be really enjoying the game. If it gets out of hand I think Sparano will take care of it.
