I seen on ESPNEWS that on Thursday the CBA talks will resume. So there is still some chance something can be worked out. This may be old news but I decided to post this just incase.

John Clayton said if a deal is not reached their will be a 94mil. dollar salary cap

is this true are false

I don't even know what the salary cap normally is. Actually if anyone know what the CBA effects will be if no agreement is reached. I know that there will be a 94.5 million dollar salary cap and none next year, but my question is that is all the releases made today like Denver releasing Price and Anderson and us releasing Madison and such due to the salary cap if no deal is reached, or would it have happened anyway. I'm just confused can anyone explain this to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think the salary cap for this year will be around 95 mill unless there is a new agreement .. then the clubs will get some relief and it could be much higher .. 110mill perhaps...I think alot of these cuts would have been made regardless..but they had to get rid of some high salaries just to be able to be active in free agency and to sign the rookie draft picks.I actually think you will see alot more cuts weather the league gets the agreement done or not .. if not then it will be really fun to watch as the big names and salaries are realeased and find little in the way of big money contracts to be had..I think the players stand to lose the most as most owners are part of the billionaire boys club and really dont count on thier teams making a ton of money ..its about gamesmanship with most of them .. they have made thier money in other ways and will most certainly continue to make money weather they own a nfl team or not..the players however are looking at a flooded market, where big contracts will be far and few between.Man its sad what greed can do to people.

As far as i can tell miami was the second highest over the cap after washington .. so we had work to do to start with...Also it seems without the new cba agreement the bonus portions of alot of our players contracts were excellerated to count against this years cap ...so that is a big problem for us.We had to look at what we could cut and then see if the agreement happened before taking anymore drastic measures.. i think others you may see released would be junior seau and perhaps ferrotte.

Well, this sounds like after what looked like a promising season for the fins next year, now looks like we may take a huge step back. Because we are going to have to release a lot of guys and then try to sign more guys to take their places, but we won't have the caproom to get any big name guys or even the solid players who may be asking good money. I know that the players will have to not ask as much this free agency, but this sounds as if this is reallly going to hurt our chances of being a free agent monster this and really makes me worried about how good we can be next year. So if I'm wrong could someone please sooth my worries?
