How in the world does CBS let Dick Emberg call a divisional playoff game on a Sunday afternoon? This guy makes Keith Jackson look spry!

Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlen, or Gus Johnson would have been better options!

The game is too fast for these old men like Keith and Dick. And you can't put them in the spotlight for these huge games.

Yeah I love Dick Enberg's voice. His voice just says "announcer". Yes sometimes he makes mistakes with numbers and players names but still I think he is a great announcer.

I do agree that Gus Johnson is another great announcer.

Both are better than Nantz. Nantz was so much better suited to be with the CBS Preshow guys. I actually liked better when Greg Gumbel was announcer when it was flip-flopped.

Enberg is all class. Dierdoff is quite possibly the worst television sportscaster ever. As many know, when your team is losing he is sure to amplify their shortcomings to no end. What's funny is so many beat on Madden because they feel he loves Favre, Brady etc., Dierdoff is just as bad, he's just dumber.

Enberg and Dierdorf (sp) are my favorite announcers in the NFL, I was very happy to hear them do a playoff game.

I have to be in the right mood to hear guys like Emberg or Jackson. They can be quite nostalgic, but sometimes it just sounds like a cruise ship announcer for an old peoples banquet.

Ahh..I liked the coverage. They were on spot on every play/call. I don't know what you have against them, but they were pretty good.

Personally, I think the guy is great and his voice, associated in my memory with so many seasons, provides a spirit of big game event.

I still like Dick Enberg.
I really, really don't like Gus Johnson. He has to learn how to call a game and not yell. It's really annoying.
