Cefalo and Rose get OK to call Dolphins' games

I don't like it. Cefalo's voice is too nice for play-by-play IMO. And he's not exciting. Sciambi would undoubtebly be better. But the Dolphins seem to be stuck on the "nostalgia" thing, opting for "teammates" over talent. They're banking on a guy making the transition from FORMER TV color guy to radio analyst. Sciambi is CURRENTLY a great radio play-by-play man.

I don't like it at all.

I'm with Muck. I don't like this but I never listen to the games on radio so I could care less. Wow, look...a blue car!

What teams does Sciambi call games for now?

I agree.Just like some of the more famous comedy teams have a staight man and a color man I think broadcast booth teams should have them too.Two straight guys does not work.Neither does two color guys in the booth.

To my mind Rose and Cefalo are two color guys (Although you could say Cefalo is a gray color).

Anyway it takes some special linguistic skills to be a play by play announcer. Not everyone can handle it unless you want to hear a lot of vocal crutches like Hmmmms and Agggggs.

They are even looking for a former player to handle the sideline reporting and another to handle the engineering.

Muck I am 100% with you on this. Cefalo is a real snoozer. I think they should have gotten a quality voice who can convey the excitement of the game.

At least now I do not have to decided if I should listen to the TV announcers or the radio.

Ok who will be the radio sideline reporter. The article says they want a former Phin. Who will it be, who would you like it to be.

Probably will be Kim Bokamper if I had to guess.

Living in Colorado I have never heard a Dolphins game on the radio, but these guys have to be better than Dave Logan (former Cleveland Brown receiver) and Scott Hastings (former Atlanta Hawks Center) who are homers for Denver Bronco games. I always watch the game at the sportsbars and often without any sound.

I wouldnt be suprised if its OJ McDuffie on the sideline. and I agree with a lot of people, Boog would be a better selection than Cefalo. I guess we just have to give Cefalo a chance, it is safe to bet he is going ot better than anyone they have on the television team.

juice isn't ready for sideline reporting. But i am on the Boog sciambi bandwagon, more experience better suited for the job!!!!!
