As a die hard Celtics fan, i want to watch every single game and not miss a single one but after they have lost 14 in a row it gets hard to watch my team lose, people say hey we may get Greg Oden but with the lottery you could be the worst team in the NBA and get the 10th pick. I just am out of words and very sad.

My Sixers have also had some really tough years......the Sixers haven't won a championship since 1983, and the Celtics since 1986. I just think teams cannot always be on top, and the Celtics were on top more than any other team. I think nothing has gone right for the Celtics since Bias and Lewis died. Danny Ainge has made some questionable moves as well. But a guy
like Oden should help out whoever gets him. I also think Durant is right
up there, but there is no gaurantee the worst team gets the top pick because of the ping pong balls.

Boston should get the number one or number two pick though even with the lottery.

Oden and Durant are both can't miss stud prospects IMO and will make an immediate impact on any team.

Though given the choice any fan would much rather win and not worry about the lottery.

what's happened to the C's has been self inflicted wounds recently. The past two seasons they have been given a chance to commit multiple deals that would allow a decent two for PP to come in for a couple young players, but Ainge refused because of the young "talent".

This is, so far only Al Jefferson(and to a lesser extent Ryan Gomes) has become a consistent contributor. The rest aren't bad players, but they're not good either. Delonte West and Allan Ray have looked good recently, and Tony Allen was becoming a decent 2 guard (until he destroyed his ankle going for an unnecissary dunk).

Right now, they've pretty much got to hope that some of the other young players develop quicker, because even if you get Oden or Durant, one of those 2 with Wally/Jefferson/Pierce can only get you so far.

This is an exciting year for Celtics fans. I mean, let's be real......would you rather be a 7th or 8th seed getting ready to be swept in the first round by one of the elite teams in the East, or in position to potentially select Greg Oden or Kevin Durant in the upcoming NBA Draft? I'll take option #2.

I remember when Miami used to suck......I wanted to suck even more just to get a higher pick. We ended up with Caron Butler & Dwyane Wade in back-to-back drafts.

Boston already has a bright future ahead with Jefferson, Green, Gomes, & Rondo.

If you have the worst record you can't get worse then 4th

We sucked just right that year

Now lets stop saying we wanted to suck...sounds bad.

:yeahthat: I have some hope left.. we're young.

Because the Celtics have such a great history of drafting with the top picks.....

You're talking about a proud franchise playing like crap every night and turning it around saying it will help rejuvinate that proud franchise when they get potentially great players. What happened to all the young players the Celtics drafted the last several years anyway? I thought they were supposed to be a perennial contender in the future. Danny Ainge sucks, he's got to go. Then the Celtics can concentrate on returning to glory rather than building for the future.

**** that - I wanted to suck more & get LeBron.

I'm happy we were shafted with the pinballs too - got #5 instead of #4 where we were projected. Pat Riley wanted Chris Bosh! Not that I don't think Bosh is a stud, he's just not Dwyane Wade............

That trade for Telfair was so stupid, and it's not like I'm just now saying that.

When the deal happened, I just couldn't stop laughing.

But you really can't go wrong with Oden or Durant. Better hope for #1 or #2.

I think you can go wrong with Oden....

Durant reminds me of Kevin Garnett.....

Oden reminds me of Erik Dampier.....
