(On what it's like for him to see Chad Pennington succeed after he was released from his last team and if there is a part of him that says 'I told you so')

"Not so much, 'I told you so,' but to answer your question, it's kind of like a proud father watching this thing, with what he's done. I just really am proud of the guy. I know how important this all is to Chad. You only have to see him work. Yesterday was his day off and at four o'clock I needed to get in touch with him and I called him and he says, 'I'm downstairs in the film room.' This is the type of guy he really is, so I know how important it is. When it's week 16 of this season, week 15, but week 16 of the season, and your quarterback is there at four o'clock on his day off, that tells me an awful lot."

From Sparano's press conference after todays practise.. man im so glad we have Chad playing for the phins!! also gets me pumped to see how motivated and determined he is to finish this season and get the division title!!

If Pennington didn't come rescue your pathetic franchise, you would still be in the garbage dump and basement of the AFC East.

All those 'noodle arm" comments that used to be sprawled across the dolphins messageboards as he went 8-1 against them over his career as a Jet sure do seem funny now.

How does it feel to be a fan of two of the most pathetic franchises (Mets/Jets) in the history of all sports? There is no way either of these teams will even reach a championship within the next ten years.

why the hate yu f**boy.. im only posting whats good with Pennington not about yur sorry *** team led by an ancient QB on the downside of his career.. jes wait till week 17 we'll see who gets the last laugh around here

Aah, but we are not in the gargage dump and basement of the AFC East. We are tied with your rediculous "team" for first place. He did come rescue our Phins, just like...supposedly, Favre did your "team"...so what is your point? It is my prediction that we win the East because of a Favre INT. Pretty good odds, but just a prediciton!

But he did. And now we're a legitimate threat to crushing your dreams once again.

either way you seem to be sad which is lovely considering ur a jets fan bwahahhaaaa

I've Always been a Jets fan, but Pennington is my favorite athlete of all time in any sport. He is a guy who gives all his heart to the sport, but more importantly all his mind. People give Favre slack because he had to learn a new system, but if you read the reports on Chad from Dolphins camp, after two days he knew the offense as well as anyone on the team.

Most of us never came anywhere close to being professional athletes, but a guy like Pennignton demonstrates everyday that you can go a long way with determination and intelligence, even without a rocket arm.
I will be traveling from Buffalo for the Jets v. Dolphins game, and while I will be cheering for the Jets, my heart will certainly not be broken if Chad pulls this one off.

Wow, talk about respect.........what spell will Chad have us under in 8 years?......I know I won't be tolerating a loss to the Jets that ends our year and keeps us out of the postseason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets hope Ireland never cuts our best player allowing him to fill a critical need for our primary competition and replaces him with a sunset rider. Nah....nevermind, that would take a special kind of stupid found only in the lower echelons of inbreeding (Jets Fans)

Come on, lighten up pal, I'm just pointing out a hypocrisy and giving credit to one of (now) your players to boot.

If you're a gentleman, you'll bump at least a thread or 2 about Chad Pennington from a year ago or earlier, that'd prove what I'm talking about.

Yes and I am supposed to expect you would do the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot?
