The cats out of the bag fellow fin fans. They finally realize chad's arm isn't strong and they can stack the box. I mean last year they didn't realize that. Last year the Pats, Chargers, Bills, Broncos, Seahawks, Raiders, Rams, 49ers, Chiefs all didn't realize Chad's arm was weak. Even the Jets in the last week of the season surprisingly didn't know Chad's arm was weak.

However the Falcon's after studying film, hours upon hours, and have finally uncovered the truth. Now all teams will be enlightened to the fact that Chad's arm isn't that strong.

So I'm with all of you Henne fans. Now that teams realize Chad's arm isn't strong, we have to bench him. He can't fool them like he did last year.
 
Doubtful that it took this long for teams to figure Chad out - he's always been the same ol' Chad and figuring out his game doesn't take a genius. Stopping it does take a genius...we know Miami never had an answer for it when he was a Jet. And actually, after the game Chad said they were taking away the deep stuff which is a little different than how teams usually play him.

I think the more important and concerning question is, have teams figured Jake Long out?
 
its not just stacking the box... what i think teams can do is take away the short middle... thats Penny's comfort zone... they can play one safety over the top because they dont need to with his unwillingness to attempt to go down the field on the sidelines...

the 2nd safety can play in the box and if its a pass play, assume a rover position in the middle of the field, basically teams can play cover 1 on us all day and really keep Pennington out of his comfort zone...

So it took teams 10 years to figure chad out and the first team that did figure him out was the 2009 Atlanta Falcons? :tumbleweed:

Every time he plays badly people say he has been "figured out". The book has been written on Chad for a while, but he still usually figures out ways to win.
 
I don't know if Chad was figured out as much as our play calling was. It was predictable and ineffective. Throwing in gimmick plays only highlighted the fact we didn't have an answer for what they were throwing at us.
 
Doood, it's one game. Remember when we got a nice thumping from the Cardinals? Bench this player, fire this coach, we should have never picked up Pennington.. blah blah

I agree with you 100% and its pretty much the point of this thread. Chad has been figured out long ago, like most QBs, but he still a very good QB. I was really just making fun of the people saying that Chad should be benched because teams don't respect the long ball. My point was that no one must of respected it last year then but he still beat all those teams i listed.

I hate to break this to you...but people knew a LONG time ago about Chad's lack of arm strength. No one just figured it out all of a sudden. Penny's whole game is precision, playing smart and executing every pass (whether its short or long). No one played all that well yesterday on offense. And the line, IMO, was more of a problem than anything Pennington did.
