Three games in, and he has played all his games at home. I'm interested, and a little scared at how he will play in someone else's home. I know I shouldn't be, with the poise he has in the games we've watched so far. Just something in the back of my mind. These next two game are very crucial to miami's 2009 season.

Just stick to what works.....run the ball, give him 3rd and short, give him time and we will win....oh and the defense showing up would help to.

I'm not worried. The dude does his thang.

He has played better in each game he has played this year. He has been unreal considering this was only his 3rd career start. I can't even imagine what this guy would do if he had some actual receiving threats. He was amazing against the saints imo, his best game yet. Too bad our receivers were horrible that game. Remember how much Brady "improved" once he had Moss and Welker to throw to? I fully expect the same for Henne. Sadly, the trifecta does not believe in drafting wr's early, which could limit Chad Henne's awesomeness.

I have been impressed w/ Henne's poise so far BUT there's no replicating going on the road for your first NFL start in a hostile building. I know he played in front of huge crowds in college but it's different in the NFL. The key for Maimi is to gte off to a good start and take the crowd out of the game. We have a crowd that can get wild when things are going well but will sit on our hands when things aren't going well. Move the chains, get that ground game going and take the crowd out and you'll be ok. If we play well early and the crowd is like it was against NE and ten I think he'll have a much tougher time.

Well we need to know if Henne can play well on the road because we play at New York and the following week at New England. He needs to learn how to play in enemy territory

This is a very good point. As a bettor I look to go against rookie or very inexperienced QBs on the road. I think Henne will be abused in at least one of the next two games, if not both. It's simply a natural residue of where he is, plus the tendencies of not moving particularly well in the pocket and with a long delivery.

Division opponents, in particular, are going to be aware of weaknesses and find ways to put the young QB in his most vulnerable situations. On their home turf, everything will be faster for Henne and more confused. I think we'll see plenty of scary line drives headed into coverage.

At this stage it's imperative to stay out of QB vs. QB comparison on the road. The Wildcat needs to be used early and often and successfully, plus breaks like turnovers and field position.

I know what your saying but don't know if I agree. I went to my 1st pro game in Philly and was surprized how tame it seemed compaired to Penn State. Nothing like being part of 100,000 + people united in hating one team. How he will play against the Jets the second time around I don't know but I don't think the crowd will affect very much.

It will be tough for sure. Even the best QBs struggle so I expect him to have a bit of a tough time. BUT we need to run HEAVY and play action a lot to help him out.

It's not just the crowd, some of the college atmospheres are crazier as far as the crowd but combine the crowd w/ the talent he's playing against and being an inexperienced QB and it's not a good combo for a young QB. They all have to take their lumps, maybe he plays well this week but the first road start for him won't be easy.

No question he's not playing college level competition here. I just think even if he has a bad game it won't be b/c of being on the road and dealing with a hostile crowd. Wether this game was in NY (or NJ I guess really) or Miami I think the jets will be coming hard. They are pissed about the last game and that is the part that worries me. It's not where we are playing but who that scares me. I have a gut feeling that Henne will have a good game tho. How much his wide outs help him is yet to be scene.

Even if he doesn't play well...what does that even mean? He could play horribly and it may have no reflection of the type of QB he will be. This is his 4th start...thats the way I look at it.
