Im just wondering what the knock on Chad Henne was going into the draft. He seems to have all the tools, and was a 4 year starter at a major college. Why was he rated alot lower then Ryan and Flacco, and why drop to the 57 pick. Thank You.
I'm pretty sure staring down a WR was one of them. That's fixed with experience and great coaching, which appears to happening now.Im just wondering what the knock on Chad Henne was going into the draft. He was dropped because Mike Hart was the main source of the offense in college. Henne only completed around 50% of his passes in his college career, so accuracy was a concern going in.
But a main point is that people felt Ryan and Flacco had a great mix of arm strength and accuracy, thus why they went ahead of him. The Packers felt Brohm had a more successful college career.
In all, the main reason he fell was because of accuracy concerns, but I think with the offense we run, where we don't need to go deep much, he fits perfectly.
