Im just wondering what the knock on Chad Henne was going into the draft. He seems to have all the tools, and was a 4 year starter at a major college. Why was he rated alot lower then Ryan and Flacco, and why drop to the 57 pick. Thank You.

I'm pretty sure staring down a WR was one of them. That's fixed with experience and great coaching, which appears to happening now.

He was dropped because Mike Hart was the main source of the offense in college. Henne only completed around 50% of his passes in his college career, so accuracy was a concern going in.

But a main point is that people felt Ryan and Flacco had a great mix of arm strength and accuracy, thus why they went ahead of him. The Packers felt Brohm had a more successful college career.

In all, the main reason he fell was because of accuracy concerns, but I think with the offense we run, where we don't need to go deep much, he fits perfectly.

But I agree with what the others have said. He does have a tendency to stare down a WR for too long. Just look at that Chargers game, he stared down the WR for what seemed like forever.

They said staring down WR's and a slow delivery.. I don't really see any issues with either of those

coming from chad henne himself.

Could be wrong, but seems like it was the Marion curse, failed to win the big one.

Being mentored by Lee and Pennington has done him great.

he completed 50% of his passes because he had guys like braylon edwards catching his passes.. he probably dropped because he never beat Ted Ginn and ohio state.

They say he was 1st round talent but its just demand sometimes. Aron Rogers had great talent, top 5, its just teams don't always need qbs because it means that they have to smart over.
