(On this game being a statement game)- “Yeah, I mean, they were a great team last year, started off very fast, have a lot of speed on defense, the biggest part that the defense reads the quarterbacks eyes pretty well so you got to be alert where everybody’s at, fit in the windows, and make the smart plays out there, but definitely a great test for us. Their offense, you know, got (Josh) Freeman back as a quarterback, he’s doing a really good job there so we’re going to have a good shot to see where we at right now.”

It's just Chad..

Ok Chad, now we know you that you know their defense reads qb's eyes well. So if you stare down receivers, well...

But I DO want to hear Chad speak confidently. You speak it Chad, now show us! Go Phins!

I think we should try to work on Barber. He's a turtle at this point.

I've noticed that it is a different Chad this year. This year he is the guy, not the other Chad. He has a confidence about him, and it has shown up in the preseason games so far. Even in the Atlanta game he looked very comfortable in the pocket. In the Carolina game he was making plays out there, calling audibles eluding pressure, running when nothing was there. You can say he checks down too much, I haven't seen it this year. He passed to Bush three times underneath 2x when nothing was down field and he progressed to Bush and once on a designed screen. You can say he threw underneath a lot to Marshall but that is Marshalls game, hit him in stride and let him pick up the YAC.

Even Sparano is different this year, he seems to have more confidence in himself (despite everything that happened) he knows the pressure is on so he isn't going to hold anything back this year.

After all that has happened to Chad and Tony this off season they both have a lot to prove.

Both are on the hot seat and will either get the job done or move on.

Here's hoping the get the job done.

IMO, Chads Talent and Ability have never been his downfall. I'ts the mental makeup that has kept him from evolving into a successful starter.
Just once I wish to hear the words "this is my offense" or "I am the starting QB"or even better yet "FU Tony" I am throwing it down field.
