I am just asking, not advocating nor fighting

I saw someone had "don't draft Chad Henne Committee" in their sig

I am curious about that

I have seen Henne play a lot and he is a very gutsy QB and I suspect he may make a good nfl quarterback - wondering what others think because I am a bit biased and I think he would good in a dolphins uniform

has he ever been considered by the dolphins? I wonder because of the sig

if this is in the wrong forum (because he is not a dolphin at the current time) forgive me I am new

I like Chad Henne a lot.

I feel he'll be a good NFL QB. I have considered him as a Dolphin many times.

I think the real question should be what do we need this year. What will be available over the next couple of draft years, and what jobs can we fill via free agency over the next couple of years.

My opinion is we can get a DE in free Agency more readily than a LT. Drafting a QB is most times risky business, but how often can you get a solid one in free agency?

Maybe Henne is a viable choice now, but depending on when we can draft him.

I really like him and am a HUGE Michigan fan. I've watched him play every game he's started in. I think he's got what every team is looking for.

thank you both

I have been a dolphins fan since the first year in the AFL but I don't have 1% of the knowledge of you guys here, thank you for your kind answers

First of all, I'm jealous. I can remember back to '68, actually vaguely to '67.

1% nonsense. If you like Chad Henne I slot you very high. QBs who over perform their draft slotting are invariably major college guys with bits and pieces of brilliance on their resume. Henne has plenty of that. The small college guys are cute stories, and it's chic to herald them, to the point they're normally overrated, not the other way around.

One thing I always look for is downfield ability on the road, an indication of a gutsy aggressive player. Henne managed that. He was significantly higher in YPPA in pure road games than home games each of his last 3 seasons, above 60% completion percentage on the road in all of those years, and a TD/INT ratio of 20/5 in road games in '06 and '07.

I Tell You , If The Season Starts And We Have Beck And Henne Fighting It Out ,i Think We Will Be In Good Shape. I Think Henne Is Worth A Second Round Pick. Are We Gonna Be Upset If Parcells Dont Take A Qb In The Draft?

Against drafting any QB in the first three rounds. Henne is good but would never take him in the second round. If we are going for a QB I personally like the Fins to take Josh Johnson in the 4th. Am a huge fan of Johnson and hoping he's the QB for the Fins

How did you know about Josh Johnson? I checked his stats and he's got a pretty nice resume. Never heard of him before today.

Seen him play a few times for San Diego and think alot of the chap. Not only can the chap sit back in the pocket and throw aswell as most top college QB's in college, the kid as great feet and can make plays out of noting.

His main knock is that the level of competition he played in is not the highest. Also he did'nt have the best combine and let himself down abit there also.

In comparison to Henne, Henne has been the starting QB for Michigan for four years, playing at the top level. While Johnson has great stats and can be a threat on the ground.

IMO opinion Johnson is a better value pick than Henne, coz he goes in the 4th or 5th instead of the 2nd.

oh the opposite side of the question. what about henne makes him worth a pick in the first 3 rounds?

his big arm and nice deep ball? you have to have MUCH MUCH more to be a NFL QB, and he hasnt show he has much else.

if your a michigan fan, then you have seen him faulter four years against Ohio State. He doesn't show up for big games. He did everything he could to try and get Florida to win that bowl game this year. He has bad pocket awareness, slow at making reads, and is inaccurate in crucial situations. Chad Henne will be out of the NFL in 4 years.

I still say "the steal of this years draft will be Colt Brennan".He's put on all kinds of size, and will be a great late round pick.
