What the hell was this about? When did he hurt his eye? How bad could his eye have been to sit the entire 2nd half in an important game with only being down by 7?

I was totally shocked to see Pat White at the start of the 3rd, to me it looked like this was the plan the entire time because i cant see any reason for Henne to sit with an "eye injury" in such a winnable game.

My prayers go out to Pat White and i hope the kid is alright, its never good to see a guy take a hit like that, especially when hes on your team but Chad Henne sitting the 2nd half in such a crucial game was just shocking.

I mean if he couldnt see out of his eye thats one thing but how serious was this eye injury?

that was an excuse for them to look at players for next year

I think they just figured if playoff contention(realistically) was still on the line,he would have been in.However, even not knowing if Houston would win, putting Henne out there on the last game of the year to be exposed to further injury would have been foolish, and there really wasnt any point IMO.

in the end it worked out for the best.

Houston won making it a moot point . . . we end up with better draft postiion, and we saw some of the depth on this team. Still would have been nice to win, but it is what it is.

I'm glad so many people are doctors and can diagnose if there's something wrong with a person's eye through a television screen.

I tend to think the eye injury is inaccurate and merely an excuse to see what White can do. If he had a serious enough injury I would think his eye would have at least been covered.

Of course none of us know and probably will only be able to speculate as to what is really going on.

No doubt this is a decision from the coaching staff, not Henne.

Yeah, Henne faked and eye injury because the coaching staff told him to... Alright. Injuries happen, get over it. We were playing in a basically meaningless game in which we needed 4 differant teams to lose... and as it turns out, it didn't work out anyway. Quit crying. The season is over. I'd much rather Henne not play the second half of a meaningless game than risk being blind in 1 eye...

I agree^ ... but seriously as a fan it is very dissappointing. Especially if you spent your hard earned money to attend the game live. You want to get to see all the best players in the game and you want our guys to win! Giving up being down by 7 is crazy.

I would have been very angry if I had bought a ticket to the game. I know you want to save him for next year, but wheres the self respect? wheres the pride? show some respect to our fans damn it!!!

Ya, an eye injury shouldn't affect a QB at all! I mean depth perception and peripheral vision??? How is that important to a QB huh??? What a wimp!!! Fiheaven posters would have gotten off their couches, went in with one eye closed and won the game plain and simple.

 youve got to be kidding me bro, BLIND...in one eye????

arent you the same guy that made the thread about you hope we lose this week to get a better draft position?

this is a very good point, my questions are this, why was he even there, an injured eye would have caused a immediate evaluation unless it was not that bad, two, there was no sunglasses to prevent irratation from the lights or sun, three they did some close ups and there was no swelling or redness of the eye, and believe me the TV guys would have got a close up of that if there was some, and finally he was reading the plays off his wrist band during the come back. the evidence seems to lean towards protecting him from further injury to something minor or lets get tape on guys

For the love of god, Big Ben played with his throwing arm hanging by his side! Short of proptosis of his friggin eye, Henne should have been in there! Pat White does not belong in the NFL, I do hope the man recovers completely, but he is a college boy playing a man's game.
