Chad Henne's Steak and Veggies recipe

I bet Kirsty Alley would love to eat that meal... well minus the veggies of course.

Yes Mods please move out of the main forum.....we need more room for Ted Ginn sucks and trade Joey Porter threads.....this is serious business. I forgot

Looks good Montreal steak season is amazing! The only thing is the steak looks really well done, i like medium/medium rare. The steak there looks a little dry but still a very nice meal!

All a good steak (USDA Prime) needs is some kosher salt and cracked pepper. All the other grades, marinades and seasonings are for amateurs.

Don't quit your day job Henne.

p.s. filet mignon is for ladies.

I agree with your assessment except on the filet, I cook whole loins, that way I can double cut them into 12 - 16oz sizes!

There is one more important aspect of cooking great tender steaks besides the cut and minimal seasoning, MAKE SURE THE MEAT IS AT ROOM TEMP when you start to cook it!

I dont know about this. ... henne looked like a 5th grader winning a cornbread cook off. That Wwo00oo where he raises his hands as if he thrown a TD.. umm yeah.. a lil' bit on the shakey side if ya ask me..

Yep, a good steak doesn't need anything added, even using A-1 is an insult. I like mine crispy on the outside and medium rare on the inside.

Save the marinade for cheap meat like skirt steaks

I agree with the kosher and cracked pepper statements, but I h ave to really disagree on the filet is for ladies.

The tenderlion is bar none the absolute best cut of meat you can have of beef. It's the most tender, it's juicy, and it's extremely lean. If you've ever had a properly cooked filet you would agree. It's like eating the softest most perfectly done yeast roll. It's warm and soft and buttery and practically melts in your mouth. Nothing compares.
