Report: Jets QB Chad Pennington out for season
Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Jets quarterback Chad Pennington will miss the rest of the
season because of a torn right rotator cuff, The Associated Press
learned Monday night.

Pennington's injury was confirmed by a person with knowledge of his
condition, but who declined to be identified because the team had not made
an official announcement.

An MRI exam showed Pennington tore his rotator cuff in Sunday's 26-20
overtime loss to Jacksonville. The NFL Network originally reported the
injury, the second time Pennington has had this tear in less than a
year.

Pennington was expected to visit noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews in
Alabama on Tuesday.


Additionally Jay Fielder is expected to miss 6 weeks with a torn
labrum. This leaves Brooks bollinger to start this week as the Jets scramble
to bring in QBs. So far it's believed that they contacted Jessie
Palmer (The Bachelor) and Tim Couch. No news yet on whether Vinny has been
contacted or any possible trades on the horizon.

Can Brooks be our version of Tom Brady, or are we looking at a top
draft pick with the possibility of getting Matt Leinhart?

it is a crime that they made him play so soon, it takes a year to come back from that surgery and now his career is over

You might be right. Pennington had subpar arm strength to begin with. But now, this might be enough to put him out of the league.
