Which quarterback (Henne or Beck) is more Pennington-like and why? Experience exempt...I'm talking on the field passer (talent) and smarts.
4 year starter at Michigan bodes well for him as a team leader i would think...plus i think Henne's the QB our FO is banking on taking over when the time's right...Tough question, neither has had the chance to play much. Both had pretty impressive college careers. Both posted real nice numbers at the NCAA level. I don't think Henne was considered a team leader at Michigan though.

I'm going off reports that Henne wasn't named team captain because he never really embrased the role.
Seriously, Henne is a strong arm QB. He seems to be more of a brash, ****y, bad-arse type QB, whereas Pennington is more of a cerebral type QB.

So which would be best for our offensive, a Henne type QB or a cerebral type?
John Beck is Chad Pennington sans the talent. John works hard, likes to study, and do all of things that Chad does. Again the one BIG difference between Beck and Pennington, is that Penny has talent, Beck does not.
Would you guys be (overly or mildly) surprised if Beck gets the nod for second string quarterback next year? If so, why?
Only if Henne is injured in some horrible accident.Would you guys be (overly or mildly) surprised if Beck gets the nod for second string quarterback next year? If so, why?
