On if it was a typical Wednesday today) - It was certainly a typical Wednesday in South Florida with the heat and the humidity. I think that is what we have grown to expect and anytime you have come off of a loss you heighten your awareness, increase the intensity and really make sure you correct what you need corrected and move forward."

(On if the base offense needs to be in rhythm in order for packages such as the Wildcat to work) - "Yes. I think the Wildcat, everyone associates the Wildcat with the Miami Dolphins as if it is who we are and what we do, but I certainly think it is a facade of what we do and a certain part of our offense. It certainly gives the opponent something they have to prepare for, something different. It is all about execution; it is what it is about. Anytime you see any of our plays whether it is base or Wildcat not work we can normally go back and look at a breakdown in execution as to why. It is never going to be the trickery part; it is going to be the execution of the play. We have to make sure as an offense we clean up our execution and do better."

(On how he stays focused when he comes out of the game for a play or two when the team runs the Wildcat) - "I got to stay right there. I have to watch the play, watch the coverage, and see what exactly they are doing. I have to stay focused. That is what I try to do. I am all for what we need to do to win a football game, because I can guarantee you one thing it is such a greater feeling to walk in that locker room after a [win] after all the hard work you have put in rather than when you lose. It is just a horrible, nasty feeling and whatever we have to do to win I am all for it."

(On the challenges Dwight Freeney presents) - "It is like watching [the video game] Madden when you are watching the game and watching the game film trying to study this guy. He is unbelievable, has a great spin move. Their whole defense does a great job of playing fast, playing aggressive. Even if you do get an angle and crease the defense with a run, it is 9, 10, 11 guys surrounding the football, even down the field. They do a great job of retracing so you may get through [the line on a ] draw or something and the ends and defensive line does a great job of retracing so when you think you may get a 10 yard gain, you end up getting 4. So it is a big time challenge for us and anytime you have someone like Dwight Freeney and the pass rushers that they do you have to make sure they do not ruin the game because they can ruin the game very quickly.

That makes one of us. :err:

They just haven't looked good in the preseason or week one. It's definitely one of if not the biggest concern right now. This was supposed to be the strongest unit on the offense, or maybe even the entire team.

Is our new O line coach any good at all, we did better with Satele, Ndukwe, and Alleman.
How can we be worse with Smiley, Grove, and Thomas in the middle versus the Keystone Cops of last year!

At times they show flashes of greatness for pass protection, it seems they have problems picking up blitzes, this is an effect of poor line communication. The run blocking is also lacking, especially up the middle. Hopefully this can be remedied, they guys have the talent, and hopefully they have the desire and brains to recognize where they need work and try to improve. Guess we'll see.

What is he gonna say? Our line is underachieving? I feel bad about our line? Of course not, he will be nothing but positive.

There is reason to be worried. They are the highest paid unit, and let's face it, the foundation of what is supposed to be an up and coming Super Bowl contender. If this line proves to be average, we may be in trouble for years because of all the money tied up in them.

Yes it is only one game, but as a fan I am worried. That being said, I do think they will work it out, though it may take a little time.

1st game of the year on the road vs a playoff team from last year.
Indys D line does scare me though Mathis and Freeney are problems waiting to happen.
The running game should be strong on Monday

I guarantee he's worried. If I were him I wouldn't be able to sleep at night after what happened on Sunday.

Exactly....he's not going to come and let everybody read where he lacks confidence in the 5 guys that hold the key to his ability to remain conscious every snap...lol

Just like none of the other guys would say they lacked confidence in him...etc...

You inject 53 players with truth serum....and you'll get 53 different answers...

Offensive Line Q&A: "We are worried about Chad Pennington."

We can only come to 2 conclusions, either our offensive line stinks!
or atlanta has an elite defense? Which one is it?

His history of injuries should worry him alot, the Oline needs to run block better because Penny dropping back all day is not the way we're going to win the division.

I wouldn't come to too many conclusions after one game.....breathe and relax homie. Last year 0-2 out of the gates and then 11-3 down the stretch, chill man it will come together.

As far as run blocking....other than the 2 missed assignments that I notcied, the middle of the line was actually moving Atlantas line off the ball....it was the pass blocking that was so horrendous....

I'm not sure what the calls were, but it looked to me like they planned on leaving Jake one on one with Abraham most the day....which is what teams need to be able to do with a premier LT....
