does anyone know what chad pennington majored at marshall??? he speaks very good.....I mean very well... I don't know :-(

he graduated head of class
majored in kickin ***:woot:

thanks to mike murh for the quote:hi5:
suicidal for life

he speaks well because he is content.
he's a leader, I've heard nothing but great things about him as a person since he's been here. He's a leader, plain and simple..

I love the clip of him organising the sideline at the end of We Are Marshall. He really hasn't changed much over the years, I think the kid could be good for another 4 years or so. He's a cever guy, off the field and on it. I'd like Henne to have to work his butt off to take the throne from Penny. Like Leinart's having to do.

Right, and I know many guys wanted Henne to just jump in there but I would feel a lot better if the kid beat out Pennington rather then McCown and Beck.

Or Culpepper, Lucas, Griese, Green, Lemon etc.

Helluva point. What we have here now is a quarterback for the future in the wings AS WELL AS a guy who's earned the starting job. Not only has the acquisition of Penny bought Henne time, it's also bought him the drive to knock someone off the top of the depth chart.

Beck, for example never had that. He was given the role through a process of desperation last year.

It's so utterly refreshing to have a FO that is doing almost everything in a concise, researched, proven and reasoned manner. It's what is going to turn this franchise around.

As long as he stays healthy he's a good QB. his problem hasn't been his arm strength it's been his durability. If he wasn't hurt alot he'd still be here and we would have had more success than we have the past few years.

That is his future right there or he might end up being a head coach in the future. He has expressed of his desire to coach in the future; however, if all else fails then he coudl also be a great broadcaster.

Pennington is a Rhodes Scholar, he majored in Broadcast Journalism. He said all of this during an interview with Michael Kay on Centerstage while he was a New York Jet. It's a pretty good interview, if anyone can get a hold of it. Chad goes into a lot of his life. Pretty cool.

Named to the GTE Academic All-District Team, he won the MAC Commissioner’s Award (given to athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher) and was picked for the conference All-Academic Team. Chad also took home the Cam Henderson Award as Marshall’s student-athlete of the year. A Broadcast Journalism major, the junior figured he was paving the way to a career as a sportscaster.

got this from Jockbio.com

if he wants to be a coach when his playing days are done, perhaps he can just stay with us and become our QBs coach, and work his way up....thoughts?
