first 8 games 2005:

30 receptions
417 yards
3 touchdown

last 8 games 2005

52 receptions
701 yards
8 TD

first 8 games 2006:

33 receptions
357 yards
4 TD

last 8 games 2006

yet to be determined

60% of his receptions came in the second half of the season
62.7 % of his yards came in second half of the season
72.7 of his touchdowns game in the second half of the season

using these percents i came up with this
he will get 55 receptions in the second half of the season
he will get 576 yards in the second half of the season
he will get 5 TD in second half of the season

which means he ends up with
88 receptions
933 yards
9 TD

now i know he prob won't get that exactly but if he gets that same streak he did last year then he could end up that high

True . . . but lets not forget he had an amazing game at Buffalo, those really help inflate his totals (Not saying it doesn't apply for other receivers who have big games, but that one game really help Chambers numbers out alot). The trend in recent years has been . . . McMike has a solid first half and dies . . . and then Chris picks it up after his dead first half. I don't know why that is.

That about sums it up. McMike's supposedly headed towards 700 yrds receiving and likewise for Chambers. I hope Chambers can continue the trend but he really needs to start coming out strong. And I hope McMike plays better as the season goes on.

and everyone says he's a number one receiver.. haha.. a number one guys needs to be CONSISTANT. I hope he does have a second half (for the teams sake).

You have to take into account every year of his career, not just last year. Your statement may prove to be correct, but you can't make a statement like that if you're going to cherrypick stats.

on jimrome today he addresed that very issue,he said when you have 4 different cordinators in 5 years it takes half the season to create the chemistry.

Learning a new system, or at least a new version of the system, every single year requires some time to get a better understanding of the offense. He's had 5 coordinators and this is his 6th season.

I'm not saying this directly applies, but I just graduated high school and I played basketball there. I was on the varsity team my sophomore year and, at times, I would get lost sometimes with some of the plays or sets. My junior year I learned my PG position perfectly and was able to take care of myself. By the time my senior year rolled around, I knew what every person on the floor was supposed to do. Like I said, I know this isn't the same thing and he is a professional, but if I had to transfer schools every season and start over, it would have been very tough to be sucessful.

Not only coordinators but look how many different QB's he has had to adjust to in the last 2-3 yrs.

i think your math is a lil off there

if he caught 72.7 % of his TDs in the 2nd half last year..... than repeating that feat would give him more TDs than last year considering he has more at the half. Is 5 TDs 72.7 % of 9 TDs ?? If so then you right but it seems off to me. I'm far from a math wiz tho.

He caught 11 touchdowns last year. 8 of those touchdowns were in the 2nd half. So yeah, the math looks good in my eyes.

how long does it take to catch passes thrown right into your numbers by Fiedler, AJ, Gus or Harrington?

and he's dropped passes that have hit him square in the chest from all of them.

I love CC...but schemese, oc's or not....if the ball hits you in your chest...catch the damn thing!

look at the great WRs, steve smith has been in the same system since what 2002 or 2003?

Randy Moss is playing worse than CC, same with TO.

Bingo!

You have just explained why he is not a pro bowl player. Sorry for getting off the subject. :goof:
