The possibility of losing offensive coordinator Scott Linehan isn't sitting well with the Dolphins' top offensive player.

"To come back and maybe having to start a new offense over, we probably wouldn't fare well," Chambers said. "It will slow us up like it has in the past."

Admittedly slow at grasping new offensive systems, Chambers isn't looking forward to digesting another if Linehan leaves.

This doesnt sound good.Does Baggett have the credentials to do the job or do we get a new OC outside the system ?

Chambers skyrocketed in Linehans system. As did our offense.

Don't take it away St. Louis. DAMN YOU!

If Chambers is too slow to learn a new offense as a reciever... then trade him now while his value is high. I mean, come on. What was his wonderlic score, anyway? I don't remember it being embarassing.

uhh are you basing a players entire intelligence by the wonderlic?

no offense, but maybe we should start questioning YOUR intelligence :)

Where did I say that?

Or at least your reading comprehension.

*Egads that was snarky. Let me start over:

No, I don't base a player's ENTIRE intelligence on anything. But the wonderlic is a place to start.

If Chambers can't learn an offense in the offseason, that's a problem on Chambers' end. And we need to figure out how to deal with it.

i don't think the point is that chambers can't learn a new offense. it's more like, we threw 100 more times this year than our average since chambers has been here, and he wouldn't want to see it go. besides, i think the playbook bought us yards many times even when the players aren't playing that great.

I don't blame him for being upset but he's got to be able to step up again...Coordinators are hot property and teams have to be able to adapt when they leave a la New England. Hearing Chambers say that it would "set the offense back like in years past" makes me question his mental toughness a bit....hopefully I'm overreacting and this will be a non-issue because SL stays in Miami.

Maybe Chambers should keep his mouth shut in public... opening it certainly removes all doubt about his level of intelligence.... go about your business, work on what you can control and keep it in the family.

A couple first for Chambers

A pass happy offense
A QB with a real NFL quality arm, if not NFL quality accuracy.

Keep it inhouse.

Chambers says the same thing 95% of the people here are thinking and gets bashed for it.

I think sometimes we want these guys to act like superhuman football machines instead of regular people like us.

Man I hope we somehow retain Linehan!! If not.......it just sets us back a little more!

You act like learning a new offense is easy and it shouldnt matter. It takes a lot of work to get a new system down. Specially if you have to do it every offseason. I mean lets face it we will never be a great team if we switch OC's every year. I dont think it is that he lacks the brain power I just think he is saying it will be a pain in the *** like dealing with people like you who want to trade everyone on our team while they still have value.

If Scott does go and Baggett takes over, would it be the same offense, or is baggetts ideas so different ? Obviously he will be a strong candidate for OC if the system stays the same
