The Human Bullet
...24 hour treatment. He has a trainer living with him for this week, to treat his injured ankle all day and all night. Their goal is to have him ready for this weekends game.
I am serious about this...lol
Here is a transcript from todays press con.
Q: How optimistic are you that Chambers will play Sunday?
A: "We are optimistic that he'll play. It's an ankle sprain. He
actually got hit on the [play]. It got twisted. I think he'll be
OK. We're going to be giving him treatments 24 hours a day,
literally. [Dolphins head athletic trainer] Kevin O'Neill is the
best at that. There will be somebody moving into his house tonight,
literally."
Q: Are you serious about somebody actually moving in with him to
give him around-the-clock medical attention?
A: "Yeah. We'll get one of the intern trainers and they'll be
there."
Q: Is that unusual?
A: "Well, I think that we've got to do what we've got to do. I
think that just states the importance of what we're trying to get
done here, and trying to get as many guys back as you possibly
can."
Q: Have you done that before?
A: "You'd have to talk with Kevin about that. I remember
around-the-clock treatment for Emmit Smith once. But Kevin, I
think, did that one himself. (laughs) A rookie, we send over an
intern."
