Champ's Goodbye - Wowsa.

We were once a people like yourselves, wildly emotional, often committed to irrationally opposing points of view, leading, of course, to death and destruction. Only the discipline of logic saved my planet from extinction.

Yikes.

If that’s the real Champ Kelly who posted that, he should remove it.

It comes off as someone unhinged and emotionally unstable. Not exactly the kind of thing you want floating around on social media outlets for future employment.

Martyrdom is really bad look. Thankfully, we dodged a bullet on that one. So embarrassing…

That's what I was thinking. Why the eff would you tell the world your kids are confused and crying all night?? What the hell is wrong with that dude? I hope that means he's no longer employed by the Dolphins and he's not keeping g his other role. He needs therapy it sounds like

I got nothing against this guy, but I'm glad we didn't hire him, and he's not a victim of anything. When you are brought in for a job like this on a temporary basis, you ought to know that the word temporary does a lot of heavy lifting.
Bro you said it. That's what's going on here.

This is 100% a victim mentality.

Bravo to you sir

Maybe it's the Gen Xer in me, but why do these younger generations insist on posting EVERY single thought or feeling that comes to their mind?

I do feel for the guy, but damn keep some things with your family and not for the outside world. There are always people out there who have it worse than you. Count your blessings, brush yourself off, and focus on the next job.

I saw this yesterday and while I was not rooting for him, this gives the perspective of the actual human element involved and it’s kinda sad to see that side of it. You can tell he really put his heart into it and is legitimately crushed. Still glad we went with Sully but appreciate the transparency.

One comment that stands out:
“This didn’t mean we have to move.”

Guess that means they may have found a spot for him to remain with the FO in some capacity, which was my hunch all along.
Or front office guys are paid so much they could basically retire any time. Thus not moving the kids because a) they can afford to stay even with job loss and 2) no other team banging the door to uproot him.

Has anyone found out if this is genuine?

If it is the guy will never get a GM job, and this is a very good reason why he didn’t get this or any other job he applied for.

Less is more Champ.

Something like "It was a privilege and a honor to have been given this opportunity as interim General Manager, Im saddened to go but ive learned alot from this experience and hope to get another chance as GM in the NFL in the Future. Id like to thank Mr. Ross and the Dolphins and wish them well in their future"

Boom, 20 seconds of thought, lasting impression that will spread around the league.

Wow.

You would think he has been patiently waiting his turn in the organization for decades and got passed over when he KNEW he was going to get the job.

WHY share that with the word(and your future potential employers)?

Do you think any of the players he cut this season had sad kids?

I don’t have a problem with it. It was genuine. I’ve been put in a temporary role for a few months, was praised daily for my work, and then passed up when the job came up to someone with no experience. I understand.
