I read a long time ago that when the eagles traded for owens that the same day the dolphnis proposed a trade for randy moss the vikings strongly considered it but they wanted chambers and 2 future 2nd round picks and spielman said no
i mean what the hell u trade a 2nd rounder for feeley but not moss. Then the dolphnis settled on trading for boston

they only gave up a sixth for boston. you should be able to get a much better player in the second than in the sixth.

Also had speilman of done that trade than 90% of the people on this board would be complaining how wanny and speilman overpaid for moss.

Well, in hindsight, I would trade Chambers, Feeley, and Roth for Moss. Realistically though, we don't really know what exact conditions of the trade would have been. And honestly, Moss is a bad fit for Miami right now. He was a headache on a top notch offensive unit, he wouldn't have been happy with our run it into the brick wall mentality and our QB's couldn't bide time and get him the deep ball like C-pepp. I also wouldn't want to commit that much of my salary cap to a WR.

I hope our offense opens up and Chambers explodes this year. I really think he has the talent to be special. Maybe not Randy special, but pro bowl talent level.

i don't have the link i watched it on espnnews and it was drowned out by all the T.O trade marks so i guess it wasn't so serius

The trade also was going to include Ogunleye. Any advantage in talent gained by moss would be cancelled out by his charcter problems. We also would have had to give Moss a boat load of money. Definitely would have been a bad trade.

Honestly I think I would rather have Chambers. He is younger, a good clubhouse guy, and a huge fan favorite. I am one that doesn't think Moss is as bad of a headache as he was when he was younger, but I still would rather have Chambers. This is a team offense right now with a ton of weapons. We need guys who fill out the system, Moss would want more balls thrown his way and would probably b!tch about having Feeley or Gus trying to get it to him
