Changes for Miami Dolphins still up in the air

Dumbo is fact-finding now? After the multiple losing seasons here and the Martin debacle to boot, this group isn't under a constant microscope?

He really needs to ride of into the sunset and enjoy his retirement with some other hobby.

If this is true, fire them all. Sherman's play-calling IMO is the MAIN reason this team did not end up with at least an 11-5 record. It was high school level play calling IMO. If Philbin is un-willing to see the obvious concerning Sherman, we would be better off without Philbin as well.

I don't understand the contempt for Ross with this. It's his money, if he has to fire these ppl he has to pay the bill. Further it's always best to get the facts and act based on those facts. I doubt as successful as he is in business he simply fires ppl based on his emotions.

So you guys latch onto the rumor of Sherman "running" the team without knowing the actual "source"?

Your "off with his head" reactions shouldn't come as a surprise to me after all these years... But I still find myself blown away:err:

Mangini looks pretty good right now.

Absolutely not!!!! Did we learn nothing from Sherman??? Our next head coach can not be someone who has been fired (little less twice!) Find an up and coming assistant or a progressive college coach, but for the love of god NO MORE RE-TREADS!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with re-treads, provided they were actually good coaches to begin with. The way the NFL is today, almost everyone is going to be a re-tread in some form. The ones who aren't simply have not gotten a chance to be fired yet. If a coach doesn't win relatively quick in this day and age, they are not long for their job. You can't honestly say that someone like Jay Gruden is better than, say, Lovie Smith based solely on the fact that Smith was fired in the past when Gruden has not even been a head coach. It is asinine. I understand that for a lot of you, these re-treads carry a stink of failure and you want a new wrapped toy instead, but that doesn't make it a better toy. Philbin was that new shiny toy not too long ago, and, quite frankly, he has been quite underwhelming in every conceivable fashion. I can't think of a single great quality he exhibits as a head coach. All I ever see bandied about is that, no matter what the situation is, he always keeps an even keel. Well woopty friggin' doo.
