I just wanted to say how much I love Channing Crowder. I have a friend who goes to UF and we went to the Peach Bowl last year (I am a UM student). Anyway, he was telling me how Crowder wrestles wild boars, but I didn't care because he was a Gator and that made him automatically a lesser player. :goof:

Anyway, I was wrong. This guy is a stud. With Saban's background is psychology, he was able to take chance on a guy like this with some past questionable transgressions. Yes Tatupu and Thurman are excellent, but Crowder is a perfect fit for us. Anyway, what are everyone's thoughts on Mr. Crowder?

I agree. Crowder looks like he could be a great player someday in the NFL. I would much rather take Leinart though.

i think he is a solid LB but we dont see him on the blitz as much as i would expect. we have been blitzing our old guys but we need to send in our new blood he is quick and agile and more likley to get to a QB that seau ever was

Umm he is on our team.. he isnt in college. We drafted him..

Crowder looks like he can be pretty good, but he isnt going to get far if he doesnt stop making these consistant mistakes in pursuit and coverage.

Haha, I think this is in response to every thread where a player is mentioned and everyone follows up with "But we should get Leinart!" I hope it's that, otherwise........

I'm with you 100%. But I am not going to be content with just him. I think if we can add other playmakers to this defense we can be sick.

Just think about it if we have him as our Ray Lewis, bring in AJ Hawk as our Jamie Sharper or Boulware or Darnell Bing as our Ed Reed. I'm not comparing any of them to these players or even saying we should or would get them, but it will be fun to see the pieces come together as Saban builds his defense.
