Channing Crowder proves that Omar Kelly is guilty of biased reporting

Omar Kelly was filling in for Kuperstein on the WQAM mid-day show today and Crowder did a good job of calling out Omar when discussing the Schefter HIPAA violation story. He basically called Omar out on air for being at the club during the Pouncey "Free Hernandez" saga but not reporting on it until after it blew up because he has a friendship/relationship with the player.

The good part starts at around 6:45 and 11:10 mark. You can hear Omar squirm a bit. On a another note, Omar seemingly had no problems with Schefter posting a player's private medical records on social media and said he would do the same.

All of this pretty much confirms what many here have griped about for ages, that Omar has a bias in reporting that is influenced by his relationships on the team. Considering his tight relationship with Miko Grimes and her outspoken criticism of the QB, its no surprise that he is likewise irrational in his reporting/criticism of Tannehill.

Journalists are not subject to HIPAA, though what Schefter did and what Omar said he would do are ethically appalling. The medical worker who released it, on the other hand, should be rooted out, fired, and charged. If I was JPP, I'd sue the **** out of the hospital.

If it is what I think it is, it's actually an older photo that someone is passing off as JPP's hand. Its the first google image result for "firecracker accident hand" which is an image posted on reddit 3 years ago.

schefter did not violate any HIPPA laws but the nurse who " leaked " the info will be fired and charged and their licence will be stripped. Omar is just a shmuck and i dont listen to anything he says or writes.

I work for a different hospital system than the one JPP is in but in the same county. If that place is anything like the one I work at, its relatively easy to find and leak that sort of information. It goes without say that the person who leaked the picture to ESPN should be fired. However, the chances of that happening are very unlikely. Medical information can only be protected so far.

Omar has absolutely no cerebral football knowledge, he doesn't understand the game and spews his propagandish rants that he has the inside angle of the team when he really is clueless!
