OK... I have personally watched Roth in camp with my own 2 eyes. Also, in high school I played DE/DT so I know the position better than any other... so hopefully you will respect and listen to my opinion...
Now... Lets get this out of the way... the kid has talent. He has speed off the line that I would have had wet dreams about when I played in high school. Not to mention he has some good strength. The problem is, is that he doesnt have any moves. As an lil undersized DE (which was me...) you need to have some moves. You need to be able to stunt inside and outside, as well as a good swim move (slapping away the hands of the lineman that is tryin to block you). Also, he doesnt have a spin move. Watch the tape... he does none of these things... I am sure he will learn though. Technique can be taught... physical talent cannot... He has every tool, and now it is just about learning... Everyone needs to set their calander back of when you will see him emerge... He is a lil of a project, just be patient... Randy, Caddy and Brown are gunna be sick...

Hey Nasty need ya opinion on Roth. Ive read a few posts saying that some ppl think Roth looks undersized for a DE? I cant understand that considering hes 6'3. Does he need to put on some muscle or does he look ok? As for Crowder, im pleased with the reports on him and think weve got a steal with him if he carries on with his play.

I agree, right now he is just using his speed, and he looks like a chicken with his head cut off running around in circles, but JT will help him!

From what I've gathered on all the posts about training camp is that he has a short wingspan and he is going to have to develop better moves to be able to get pasts OTs and get to the quarteback.

thanks ether79. Must be his wingspan then i guess. I know about his limited moves going by all the posts i read on Roth. JT and the coaches will sort that out.
