Good morning. Just reading this morning's North County Times. Agent Steve Feldmen, Fonoti's agent has confirmed the Chargers are trying to move him prior to Tuesday afternoon's trading deadline. Fonoti is out for two more weeks with a surgery to repair his broken right hand. They go to say that the 6 foot 4 350 pound Fonoti's relationship has soured with his constant weight battles, and for missing practices. There is more to the article. I just thought I would pass that along to members who thought we should sign him.:)
 
Pick him up. It would be a huge upgrade in the middle of the offensive line. This guy is a solid starter and it would give us some meat up front for run blocking.
 
We won't trade a pick for him. Saban has said over and over he wants to build thru the draft.
 
The article says that there is a lot of interest from teams. It looks like the internet article was cut short. His contract is through this year.

If Houck says grab him we do.....he would best know him.
 
If they cut him, Saban will give him a look if Houck is interested. If Houck isn't interested, that tells you all you need to know.

I don't think he wil get cut, there supposedly is enough interest, just need to come up with something that is agreeable.

Thanks man. Routine has returned, but as you can imagine, "normalcy" as we knew it is years away.
