“The Jonathan Martin thing is one of the more fascinating things I’ve seen in my entire life, to be honest with you,’’ Barkley said on Dan Patrick’s radio show. “I don’t understand if incognito was treating this kid bad why he texted him 1,500 times. I don’t understand everybody on the team said they’re friends. I don’t believe the general manager told one player to punch another player.
“I don’t believe in the NBA we’d let a guy get mistreated in the locker room. Did we give a guy a hard time? Of course we did. But I think if someone went over the line we’d say something. So I don’t know what’s true now and what’s not true.”

Barkley also said, “I hear all these clowns talk on television about locker-room culture. First of all, We are rude, crude, sexist, racist, homophobic in a locker room. The stuff we have said (in a locker room) we can’t say on your show. We can’t say it in mixed company. We can’t say at a dinner table. I miss that, giving each other a hard time. I do. I miss that.”

I thought he was gonna say something like "Jon Martin and Richie Incognito are just turrible turrible crazy knuckleheads. Just turrible!"

He is right. Of course an Adam Schefter, Mike Florio or Jason Laconfora would never debate him on such things. They will hit and run and push their story. Plus, they know Charles Barkley would destroy them in such a discussion.

Even tho Charles is a Auburn guy....I have always enjoyed his honesty.

Honestly tends to destroy naivete .... there should be lots more honesty splashed in people's faces.

Some just don't understand what's it's like to be in a fraternity of men.

The PC ways of the modern day have changed a number of men to metro-sexual.

I'm telling you, the more and more I read stories like this, the more I think we men need to take our "manhood" back and stop being dictated to by women, whimps, and poor "sorry for myself" types.

"Mandom" is under attack.

Its under attack from feminist and liberals. Time to say what we mean and stop apologizing for it. I'll respect you a lot more if you don't go back and say your sorry.

:rolleyes2:

Feminism is about equality, not attacking your damn manhood. I know the word scares you because you don't take the time to understand the issues. But how does feminism come into this at ALL?? I know you like to lump "sissy" issues all into your little conservative box, but that literally has nothing to do with the matter at hand. I'm amazed at people's proclivity to turn things political. All anger blindly thrown at "the Other."

Feminism is in no way shape or form about "equality". All this complaining about
"equality" in the workplace is simply a code word for "advantage". I'm all for
equality. I think we should all be equal in every way, but the fact of the matter
is that nobody in any of these "movements" are interested in "equality".

But, this doesn't really have to do with the matter at hand. I heard Barkley
say this on the LeBetard show, and he admitted he was as clueless as the
rest of us as to what actually happened, BUT he did have his doubts as to
the severity of any "bullying".
