Full interview here from the Finsiders. Good things to say about Philbin from Casserly.....

"Joe philbin is a professional - he is a football coach through and through. He is a no BS guy, excuse the expression on the telecast here, but I think he's a genuine guy. I think it's a no-nonsense business approach, and that's how you win. You win with a sound football approach and consistency, not alot of up and down and trying to too many different things. This team to me has gradually improved."

He goes on to compare us to the recent Cowboys ascension and speculates we'll do the same, nice interview. I enjoy hearing what Casserly has to say, seems to be a level headed guy that know his stuff. Can't wait to get the season started so Philbin can prove both Casserly and Philbin homers such as myself correct, and win some games....

Well considering that dallas oline carried the cowboys to where they are pretty dumb comparison from casserly...but thats nothing new from him

Good grief man, he was comparing the 8-8 seasons slowly getting better culminating in a playoff run, not a unit by unit comparison. Obviously one can poke holes in any comparison if you try hard enough.

Casserly is an idiot.

LOL <shakes head> I should have known the pack of dogs was coming......

The only reason that team made that run was the oline...so try putting 2 and 2 together next time before you feel the need to call someone out

Geez you can't criticize anyone that praises the Dolphins even slightly without getting swarmed.

I feel like we're setting the table for the pass protection excuses 6 days into training camp. Well let's take a step back and realize we aren't hearing about Wake, Mitchell, Vernon, Mosely or Phillips blowing up our O lineman. We're hearing about Suh tearing them up. He might be the best DT in the NFL, I'd Be more concerned if he was getting dominated by Billy Turner or Dallas Thomas. What sucks is we won't see what we need to see for awhile which is how we handle a good front with our current Oline. Well we played Suh last year with the likes of Satele and Thomas and while Suh was good many on here will argue the defense not the offense lost us that game. Basically I'm not getting my panties in a twist hearing about our very expensive DT beating up our inexperienced players.

Casserley said the Cowboys took off when they got the Oline going and he expects same with the Dolphins. Calling him an idiot is unwarranted, listen to the interview and criticize points made.

I saw an interview recently with Casserly and he was acting extremely strange and saying things that made no sense. I know the man at one time was well-respected, but he might have some form of early Alzheimer's. My choice of words in calling him an "idiot" was quite poor and I apologize for that.

Do you recall how horrific Dallas' O-line was just a couple years ago? It was the worst in the league. A few moves later and here we are.

I dont recall it being the worst in the league a few years ago but either way i seriously very seriously doubt this miami oline will approach that dallas oline level in 2015 even with an evan mathis addition.

I just want to be solid up front and i will take it

The Dallas comparison is a pretty good one. Going into last season Dallas was suspected to have the worst, almost laughable defense in the NFL...this was after following many average 8-8 season. That defense wasn't great, more middle of the road, but it was good enough to allow the stronger units (the o-line, running game) to lead the way. Miami could be in the similar situation where the O-line ends up being the middle of the road unit, that is good enough to allow its stronger units (the d-line, Tannehill and the WR's) to carry the team to the playoffs.
