The Detroit News' website reported Saturday that Dolphins assistant coach Charlie Baggett has interviewed for the head-coaching job at Michigan State and that he was a finalist. Baggett is a former Spartans quarterback and was an assistant under Saban there from 1995-98. The report said a new coach could be named as early as Monday.

Here we go again with New Coach`s from 1 year to the next...

****It is in the Miami Herald Today...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Baggett be named the next head coach at Michigan State.

Well, look at the bright side, maybe Saban can get someone who will teach Chambers to catch EVERY ball with his hands.

I'm not that impressed with the WR coaching. Is anyone?

I agree. I think Saban can find some one better.

A good team finds ways to teach and use the players they have to make an offense or defense work. Our WRs have been the weak link for the last few years. Either bad route running, dropping balls, or not playing aggressive (i.e. Chambers in the Lions game). That reflects on the OC and the WR coach. The OC is starting to come through now. And like it was stated, maybe a new WR coach can teach our wide receivers to catch the balls.

I have no confidence in the guy who is coaching our so-called "receivers". I know a coach can only do so much, but the drops are unforgivable.

If Baggett doesn't go to Michigan State, he should be fired.

Well good for him.. one good thing we could get from him going to michigan state is that baggett could be eyes and ears for saban in the college ranks. or at least his school and division.

Wonder if we could get Nat Moore to salvage these new guys. If he could teach Mark Duper to run a route and catch he can teach anyone.

I would never:D. However his first year with the Dolphins he was ummmmm....cough....interesting.

He had to be taught to be a receiver which most credit Nat Moore for his development.

I was actually hoping Baggett would be our OC next year. He knows Linehan's system from working with his WR's in Minnesota.

Remember though... Baggett was also the WR coach that got Chambers to have his best year as a pro as well.

I was really hoping we would end up promoting Baggett to OC. There wouldnt be much change over at all for next season... and he knows this offense.
