He knows the offense, knows Cam, and is an understudy of Rivers.

If you're insinuating that we should trade picks for him, no.

yeah, it wont happen, the QB situation is uncertain enough as is, if anything we pick up a QB in the lower rounds, theres some good 3rd round prospects.

Cleo understands Cam's offense too...I think he's the guy if Daunte doesn't work out this season....Although I think we'll draft the eventual replacement for either of them this year or next.

I really don't see Whitehurst as an option either, especially if it means giving up picks unless Cam is really really sold on him, which I honestly don't believe is the case since Volek was able to pass him on the depth chart last season. Also regarding the draft I agree, I was big on Brohm and Brennan this year but both decided to not declare and go back to school instead. So I would personally rather focus on other areas of need early on in the draft, and possibly find that diamond in the rough later on, whether that be the 3rd or more than likely later rounds.

I think Cleo could be a good quarterback because he has that good work ethic the more i read about him the more i think he would be a good quarterback and should get a shot a the starting job this offseason

The reason I dont think Lemon is the answer is because he is a run and gun QB and i dont feel that type of offense is successful at the pro level .A run n gun QB has never won a superbowl and it always seems to disrupte the syncronization and speed of an offense. Cams two successful QBs were Brees and Rivers both pocket QBs.

He should just start Cleo instead of trading picks for another 3rd string quarterback on another team.

I'm assuming you're saying that he is a Run N' Gun qb, because he played that in college ( I personally have no idea what he ran at Arkansas St or w/e). If that's so, I don't think it's affected his play in the pros at all. If you watched him in the Jets and Colts game, he spent pretty much the entire time in the pocket. This was surprising to me especially because he's a "scrambling" quarterback. What I noticed in those two games was that he used his ability to scramble in bootlegs or buy time for WR's to get open, but never really take off. In fact he took off running very rarely if ever in those two games. I think he's more of a pocket passing QB than you give him credit for.

Lemon is not a run and gun QB; he is a pocket passer with the ability to run if a play breaks down. I'm sick of all the stereotyping.

Why in the world would you want Charlie Whitehurst?

You guys are getting rediculous with wanting players from us just because Cam was our OC.

Whitehurst was just a rookie last year who frankly didnt impress very well.

I also saw a mention of TE Ryan Krause......thats a laugher. You can have that bum!
