Cheerier Forum? Or just the offseason?

Is it just me or does the forum seem more upbeat than usual? Things seem to be going right for Miami right now, and the fans are much more agreeable. I know it's the offseason, so this will probably wear off, I just wanted to say it's been a pleasure reading everyone's posts - much moreso than usual. There is constructive dialogue going on and very little mindless doom-and-gloom banter. It's a nice change. I hope it's here to stay.
 
It was very gloomy here predraft. But the draft went so well, it's hard not to be cheerful.
 
Finally drating a quarterback in the first round after 29 years will make every Dolphin fan happy
 
It was a good draft and our team is full of lots of young potential. That's about as good of a situation for hope to spring eternal as you could have.
 
Not unexpected at all considering all the chick littles we have as a fan base. Don't worry the first time in camp when we hear Ryan throws a int for a td or miller fumbling they will be back in force.

You don't actually think they got rid of the fire Ireland posters do you? Or Ross doesn't really want to win signs?

LOL ... you nailed it ... its a seasonal thing, EVERY YEAR!! Hope springs eternal.

Now without watching them play, its possible they'll all do well & have a good season!! Soon ... reality bites!! lol

Last year at this time their was all kind of fun analysis & conclusions that were not only bizarre, but with large followings ...
i.e.
O-Line was top 5 ... with stats & all to prove it
Henne was a Franchise QB ... with stats & all to prove it ... then his ability went off the charts in pre-season ... few weeks later we were looking for a guillotine operator, but large minions still loved him. (tens of examples of he was a team leader & mastered the new playbook before the tourists arrived)
Sparano was a genius, a leader of men, & players loved him & gave 110% & other assorted crap-o-la
Every draft has a dozen pro-bowlers ... then a couple years later 1 or 2 journeymen stick ... no play-makers!!

Ah, FANDOM ... its a beautiful thing (not much to do with football though!!) Happens every year!!

This year should be even better ... we HAVE HOPE ... we drafted a QB & don't have to go dump-picking!!
 
Personally, I felt more optimistic after Philbin was hired..just putting the coaching situation to rest. Then Ireland pulled off a very sensible, solid draft.
Hopefully the Fins will no longer be the NFL's punching clown.
 
I was pissed last year until week one. For one game it looked like we were gonna open up the offense but just lost to NE. Then the typical dolphins offense bull**** started and I stopped watching.
