Did anyone else feel this way? Even before the post game interview with Tafoya and a Chicago player (Bradley?) where they said that Lovie Smith told them at half time that he wanted this win, I thought Chicago looked hungrier. I think they may have game planned a little more than usual for a first preseason game and were throwing blitzes all over the place (even the announcers commented that).

I think it got a little personal for Lovie Smith because just before he got hired Chicago was throwing crazy money at Nick Saban and almost got Saban so Lovie knows that he was not their first choice.

Good point, I hadn't even thought of the Saban/Smith relationship. Normally I would say that's a crazy conspiracy theory, but those blitzes tonight were ridiculous.

i think it was more about wanting to evaluate talent than wanting to win... a win would've been nice, but having the extra preseason game for player evaluation is much more important.

Nick Saban had no intentions of winning that game, because it has no signifigance. If he wanted to win he doesn't let Mare try from 54 and he doesn't let Berlin go for the enzone in FG range. There's no difference between a W or a L in preseason.

Dude if anything we should be blamin DAMN LINDO OMARE !

OH MY GOD!!!

WE'RE GOING TO SUCK!

WHAT SHALL WE DO????

:shakeno:

Who gives a ****? It was the Hall of Fame Game, guys. That's less than preseason...that's exhabition. It was step one of a long process, it was meaningless, and everyone needs to just chill out.

I admit...they did surprise the sh*t out of my by blitzing at just about every play.
