Chilling Article from Salguero about the Incognito Golf Incident

Coach Joe Philbin, who was in his third month as Dolphins coach at the time, didn't cut Incognito. Oh, the coach was seen that season as standing up for the right kind of players, as Miami cut Chad Johnson after his domestic violence issue and traded Vontae Davis because, in part, he went to the bathroom too much during practice.

Philbin lost all respect and credibility from me. In fact, the whole Dolphins organization did. The Martin thing is a farce, but this situation is a real black eye. I am sure other teams have done similar things in the past, but this cannot be excused. Anyone who participated in covering this event up should be held accountable. To think Philbin did nothing about this and allowed Incognito to take on a leadership role with the team after having knowledge of this?? Incredible lack of leadership. Disgusting.

I'm sure it's the first time it's ever happened to an NFL player.
They are simply fine gentlemen who never beat women, or engage
in any sort of inappropriate behavior. I mean....It's not like they
run dogfighting rings and are convicted of federal charges and then
play again or anything.

The way I am reading all this I believe we are the only team ever to have a rogue player.

Armando is a man on a mission here! Death to the Fins! Death to Ritchie! Death to Philbin! People act stupid, football players act stupid, RI should pay the consequences.

Armando, why is this here? "Commited simple battery on an unemployed black woman who was"

Inciting racism much?

It sickens me that Vick is still in the league.

That is actually a good article of whats about to come our way. There is no defense of the Dolphins knowing about the situation, and not doing anything.

When you have to attach race to any crime or charges as a writer you are doing just that in the hope to make it sound more criminal. Battery on anyone is a crime but now Ritchie is white so it brings attention to his article.

Interesting article, and if Armando's speculation is correct () the Dolphins are in a world of trouble. However, at this point that's all it is: speculation. By a guy 90% of this board thinks is a moron. So I'll reserve judgment on that for now.

As for the character of football players? Bryant McKinnie was involved in worse when he was with the Vikings. Koa Misi was involved in worse. Mike Pouncey is probably involved in worse. Jimmy Wilson was absolutely involved in much, much worse. Go through any NFL team and peer through the skeletons. Are there more or fewer on average? I honestly don't know.

What I do know is that if you are super outraged about the character of men on this football team, I highly suggest you show up to the next Fireland demonstration outside the Dolphins training facility.

That's not the answer and you know it. We could never field a team if we had all angels on the 53, it's the nature of all sports.

Yeah, but you do understand that those are the facts right?? It doesn't matter that he harassed a woman, covered it up along with the team?? What you get out of this article is that he mentions a black woman??? Maybe you are missing the bigger picture here?

I haven't been a Fireland guy before, but this situation, more than anything, makes me question the personnel department. I know that is strange, especially as I have also said I think this is very much overblown, but I really feel like they just keep rolling the dice on low character players or guys with mental problems and enough is ****ing enough already.
