Chip Kelly: Lazor will succeed in Miami

nick foles wishes he was as talented as ryan tannehill...foles is the definition of product of the system qb...must be nice for foles to have the use of the best oline in football...to prop him up

Who knows if lazor was why foles did what he did last year but it gives me hope that he will help tannehill. Lazor definitely didn't hender foles like our coaches did

Not to mention one of the best running backs in the league and a head coach who is revolutionizing offensive football.

i sure hope lazor brings that eagles tempo with him...last thing i want to see is us in the huddle all season long...tannehill can handle it...speed the freaking o up and take some pressure off this yet to be filled oline hole in whatever ways possible...tempo sure would help

if you guys pay attention enough you will see that foles when pressured is terrible against it...watch the playoff game if need be to see what i mean...he was awful unless he was clean on plays

like i said tannehill trumps that dude any day...he just doesnt have that kind of oline and running game

Mike McCarthy: "Joe Philbin will succeed in Miami"

I mean he has in a way succeeded. Got us what looks like a franchise qb. Inherited a 6-10 team took them to 7-9 then a 7-9 to 8-8 with an awful line in which he had no control over. 3rd year is the real test and I think the telling tale but so far most signs look towards success.

In all the noise, I think this.

His third year will tell the tale.

I think three years is reasonable to determine a HC's
Ability to do the job at that point in his career.

The Run and Shoot called.

They say he's full of ****.

I'm not sure if you're comparing Kelly's offense to the Run and Shoot or suggesting the RnS was supposed to "revolutionize offensive football" and deriding it. Kelly's system isn't anything like the Run and Shoot. It runs the ball better and uses motion and timing much better than a 2 minute drill, which is essentially what the RnS is with 4 wideouts, see the K-gun in Buffalo. And if you are suggesting the RnS didn't revolutionize offensive football you're mistaken there as well. More teams run no huddles, 4 wideout sets (or 3 WR and Jimmy Graham), emphasis on the passing game, using it to set up the run. See the success of Buffalo, New Orleans, Denver, Indianapolis, et al.

You can go ahead and say Kelly's system is a fad, but if you look closer you'll see it does a whole lot of traditional things, running between tackles, getting ball carriers in space, same passing routes as ever, but sets it all up with motion and speed forcing the defense to make mistakes even after they have the personnel on the field they want. It's smart and simple, that's an easy sell.

Yup, what I look for is improvement and as long as we improve every year I don't think you can ask for much more. Sure I'd love for us to of been 10-6 last year but as long as our record is better then the previous year then I think he's doing his job. It's also not easy competing with the pats and easily a top 3 coach of all time.

I'm 46 years old and have seen lots of offensive schemes come and go. They all say
"Yes but"...."But"...."And if you look closer"...

Give it three years and lets see about his system.
