Our athletes will benefit more from physical therapists with manual experience/certifications than a chiropractor. IMO.

Drfletcherdc said:I have adjusted a few professional athletes in my 7 years of practice. This summer, a pitcher for a MLB team in spring training was having major shoulder issues in which he was contemplating surgery. Through my playing experience (baseball) , I was able to detect the imbalance in his shoulder and correct it. He resumed pitching that next week without the pain. Of course he was still getting his 3 hours a day therapy from the team trainers which he had been receiving for the last 9 months.
I also treat professional motorcross/supercross riders. Most people who are educated understand the scientific principles of chiropractic, nerve interference and joint dysfunction. Studies have shown that athletes who receive regular chiropractic care have a 10% increase in performance.
