What do you guys think of this argument for choosing Darron Lee with the 13th pick over Tunsil? Basically what he's saying is that more teams make the playoffs that have top 10 defenses as opposed to teams that have top 10 offenses, therefore he would have picked a defensive player with the 13th pick.

So the discussion is, would you rather have a top 10 offensive line or a top 10 defense?

My rebuttal to him would be, selecting Darron Lee would not have made our defense a top 10 defense, this year or ever.

Whereas selecting Tunsil could POSSIBLEY give us a top 10 offensive line from day one.

What do you guys think?

Forgot to post the link.

Most teams don't have the leagues' worst OL and the league's two worst OGs. Most teams don't have Mario and Wake. Tunsil was the right pick.

Lmao darron lee... I dont even like him as a 1st round pick let alone 13.... He's a project who has a long way to go until he's an every down linebacker. Ill take the best prospect in the draft over him, thanks though.

This is beyond stupid. Lets ignore the fact that you're passing up a top 3 talent in the draft in Tunsil for a top 30 talent in Darron Lee.. Lets forget that for a minute.

You're selecting a LB in round 1 and selecting a CB in round 2.

When Albert goes down in Week 4, who is protecting Tannehill in this make or break season???

Bushrod/Dallas Thomas/Pouncey/(Douglas/Turner)/James?

NO THANKS! Perkins would draft a LB/CB and he'd be the same guy writing cookie cutter Tannehill disappointment articles half way through the season.

James Walker and Chris Perkins are about as qualified to be Miami Dolphin reporters as my 12 year old niece is to run a business.

Chris Perkins is a dolt. Seriously.

Omar gets most of the hate at that newspaper because he is a giant troll and is arrogant to boot. Perkins, on the other hand, just comes across to me as innocently not knowing much about football at all.

He's honestly trying to make a case for skipping on a top 3 rated player in the entire draft because of anecdotal evidence and opinion. I mean, come on man.

Everyone has their own opinion.

Some people write stuff just to write stuff. I take a guy that can protect the most sacked QB in the NFL than a LB that should not be drafted in the first round at all

Ozzy rules

More teams make the playoffs whose QBs aren't pissing blood, than teams whose QBs are pissing blood.

As an Ohio State fan I would've PUKED if we took Darron Lee, regardless of whether Tunsil was there.

I said it 10000 times before the draft, I never wanted Lee or Apple. Only Buckeyes worth taking early went 3rd and 4th. There isn't another Buckeye I would've considered in the first round.

Someone is just trying to get mentioned with an idiotic article like this.

Just mind numbingly dumb to even consider it a question.

his article makes zero sense.

the only player in the draft i would have considered taking ahead of tunsil was jalen ramsey (the dolphins had ramsey 1 and tunsil 2).

if that was his article, "defense or offense? what do you do if ramsey and tunsil are both there?" fine.

but to pass on probably the best and most elite prospect in the entire draft class just because you feel having a top defense is better than having a top offense? lay off the pipe!

2 massive reaches.

The ss is awful. Perkins is worse than Omar

Kinda makes you wonder how many Miami fans would be pissed if we didn't take Tunsil.

At either pick #8 or #13, your best bet is simply BPA. And, Tunsil shores up depth at one of the weakest units on our team if you factor in injury-history, so he's more than just a luxury pick IMO. He'll be a constant starter for years to come if he stays clean and productive.

EDIT: not to mention the offense could hardly stay on the field last year, the defense was exhausted every game. There was a lack of defensive talent, but when your offense can't drive down the field, you're simply not going to do well.
