Ok I'm just starting this thread so people can freely talk about Chris Chambers. His amazing catches, things he should work one, your favorite Chris Chamber's play, ect.

I'm gunna just start by saying has anyone notice the absolutly amazing jumping ability that Chris has, I never noticed it till this year, but he can really our leap defenders. Just llok at that bufallo game.

Chambers has some of the longest arms and best vertical leap I've ever seen in a wide receiver. As Chris Berman put it, "He's only 5'11, but he plays like he's 6'4".

My favorite Chambers plays were both against Buffalo. The first was at Buffalo in 2001 when he caught two TDs in a 21 point Miami rally to beat Buffalo. The second was this year at Miami against Buffalo when he TOOK OVER the game. He could not be covered. That was a DOMINATING performance.

I know on madden he had a 97 out of 99 in jumping skill. and he made an amazing one handed catch in the tampa bay game in the regular season

Chambers has amazing jumping skills
He is excellent at the circus catches
He is solid at the RAC
He is turning into a solid blocker

He needs to work on consistancy
He needs to be able to catch the easy ones, not just the hard ones( Focus basically)
He needs to be a more vocal leader
He needs to improve on the fades in the end zone
He needs to get better at seperation ie. route running skills.

The great thing about Chambers is that his PRO'S are things you really can't work on and get better. You either have it or you don't.

The Cons I see in his game can be coached and improved upon.

I don't think Chambers is even close to the caliber of Moss. However, I could see him putting up Moss like numbers. He could have already done that if he was more consistant and focused more.

O yeah that was an amazing catch in that Tampa bay game, I personally cant think of a corner that could out jump him

He has really good awareness from where out of bounds line and great balance. Alot of receivers make nice tip toe catches just in bounds, but only a few do it like chambers where he extends his long arms out and tip toes just barely in bounds. Chambers catches are as "tight rope" as it can get, Cris Carteresque. But it's no surprise to how or why he can and has made these catches: one is his athletic ability and the other is that he obvioulsy learned and watched from Cris Carter when Carter had his stint in Miami I would assume.

You know Chambers makes a lot of 1 handed catches also.

Chris Chambers is the greatest receiver in EA Sports history.

45' vertical, 4.3-4.4 speed, best hands in the NFL, and nobody works the perimeters like him since his former teamate.. the other CC..... All this makes him one of the best red-zone threats at WR today.
only 4 guys caught more TDs the past 3 years and you can guess who they are and who their all-world QB is/was. Chris has had one of the highest Receptions per TD ratio since his rookie year. Usually averages a TD every 6-7 catches. With a healthy Daunte, Chris projects to be one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL. Most often compared to Randy Moss, (because he's the closest thing to him), if you watch Randy's highlights you'll noticed how much he benefitted from quality Qb play. Moss makes tough catches too, but if you made a highlight reel of both guys, you'd come away thinking the guy in aqua N orange has more talent. I wish I could make a sick highlight clip of Chambers downfield blocking skills he is gotta be one of the best at that as well. He is the complete package at WR... more so then anyone else in the league. It hasn't been an easy few years for Chris, or his biggest fans. But you have no idea how great it is that my days of constantly defending are basically over. I garuntee you now that his breakout year was not last year, but this upcoming season. He's had his taste, now he's taking his game to another level. Wait and see.

Chris is only gonna get better. Chris's problem is he has never had a qb that could throw to him. Yes, he fumbles balls that he should catch. but trust me, now that he has a qb that is used to having his ball caught, daunte will get chis's *** in line

I think one day very soon everybody will be mentioning Chris Chambers name in the same sentence as Marvin Harrison T.O. and Randy Moss.

yeah he can jump his a$$ off and some how when we're in the red zone the ball just shows up in his hands for a TD i love it but sometimes when he is open he gets too excited and drops balls witch i can almost cry when it happens cuz when he catches the ball something phat is giong to happen but thats bout it

It's too bad Steve Smith is better then everyone you just mentioned.

I want to see Chambers do what he did the last 6-8 weeks last year for a whole season AND stop dropping the passes so much....THEN we can put him in the elite, until thaqt happens he's in the 2nd group (Fitz, Boldin, Wayne etc.).
