Chris chambers on rome is burning.....

for those of us who are still at work, please keep us updated....

he said it was nice to get the "bad taste out of their mouths" by getting a big win.

Said there is still a lot of work to do and they are just gonna keep fighting.

Said they need to keep the momentum going for the Chiefs...continue to make plays.

Said himself and the other receivers are still getting their timing down with Joey, because they didn't really practice with eachother until after he was named starter.

Said he has always played better in the 2nd half of the season and is excited to see what he and the team can do.

that's pretty much the jist of it.

thx. there's hope that Joey's accuracy is just a matter of timing then. Good to hear, hopefully that starts coming around soon

Chris is right, it's obvious that you can place his lack of production early in the year on new coordinators. I expect Chris to really take off within the next couple of weeks.

He also responded to a comment Jim Rome said, which was all the other "high profile" wide receivers complain about not getting the ball enough and that CC has never been like that and asked Chris to respond. Chris said he leaves that to the coaches and other staff and doesn't feel the need to mention that in the media. Pretty classy if you ask me, as opposed to TO and others.

Unfortunately, people have been saying this for about 6 years with Joey Harrington...

If Chris Chambers catches fire in the second half of the season that will go a long way toward winning a lot of games.

good point, I forgot about that part. And I agree...he does have more class than the big mouth receivers.

so what's another six weeks. Actually I give him another two to start hitting some deep passes. I always give QBs six weeks when they're new to the team to get their act together

Unfortunately, the fans in the stadium gave Culpepper about 6 minutes to get his act together before they started chanting "Jo-ey" during the Bills game.

I agree though 6 weeks should be plenty of time to be the best you can be on your new team, provided you've had months of exposure to the playbook prior to that...which both QBs clearly did.

Kind of like the 6 game winning streak last year. Chambers blew up in the Oakland game, then ERUPTED vs. Buffalo and finally had another monster day in San Diego. During the streak last year, 42 catches, 621 yards and 6 TDs. Dang, that's solid work and if we see that again this year, I see another streak.
