I heard that Hope met with Miami today, anything come of that? Would be a great pick up for our secondary! Also looks like Ashworth is in contract talks with Tampa. Oh well another o line man gone.

Hope would be a good player and maybe we can still resign Schulters at worst. I'm hoping Ashworth can come and perhaps we can move Shelton to Guard. We also might need a veteran backup QB since Sage and Gus are gone and Culpepper's doubtful for the 1st part of the season.

Acquiring Hope is going to take a brutal overpayment.

While the improvement on the Miami secondary may be just as dramatic, losing Schulters will only result in a modest gain at a huge price. Hope is looking for (and may get) a large payday. He talks aws though he is a top 5 safety in th eleague and he simply isnt. Of the 60+ safeties he might land in the 20-30 range. But he isnt asking for that kind of money.

Then again he may come to his senses and understand he isnt that good and need to take appropriate payment.

Samphin, you're a sick man...I like it. I havn't worn pants since the Culpepper trade was announced. If we signed the above, I might not wear pants until the season starts!!!!
