Last year I said to myself Adrian Peterson was going to be the greatest player ever to play in the NFL. Hes playing well, but hes actually dissapointing this year.

This year, I found a new player to claim as the "greatest player ever". Chris Johnson. He's by far the quickest running back in the league. He's also the fastest and most elusive reciever in the league. The Dolphins might actually have to play Ted Ginn on defense to chase after this mad man. Outside of Peyton Manning, I have never seen one player completely dominate an offense. He's absolutely remarkable.

I actually wonder if this team would consider playing nickel or dime as their base offense to put more SPEED on the field as opposed to playing base 3-4 which involves more power and strength but much less speed. Imagine Chris Johnson open field running at Ayodele. Thats a top 10 highlight on Sportscenter waiting to happen. I'm pretty sure Paul Pasqualoni is not getting much sleep this week trying to figure out what the hell in the world to do so that his defense does not look like a pop warner team.

I love my Dolphins but holy cow, Chris Johnson is a one man wrecking crew and I dont see how this guy wont run for 150 yards with another 125 yards receiving. He's just that good. Luckily for us, we can beat this Titans team, especially if Vy sits this one out, or plays with a pulled hammy but ladies and gents, get your popcorn ready and along with a nice "W" enjoy the Chris Johnson experience.

I have never seen this before.. through 12 games, he averages 6 yards per carry! SIX!

hopefully you have busted your load and your hard on is gone.

We're lucky that we are facing two similar offenses in back to back weeks - a Qb with a running threat and an elusive all-purpose back.

We have to pick and choose our battles in stopping CJ, but we also have to keep in mind that Britt and Washington aren't too shabby going against our secondary.

Hopefully our safeties have the game of their lives on Sunday because whether they're the last line of defense trying to stop CJ in the open field they still need to help our rookie corners against their receivers.

Best running back in the league right now and he could rip us apart not only on the ground but in the air also. Keeping this guy in check will be probably the most difficult assignment for our defense this season.

Another CJ... CJ Spiller, wouldn't be out of the question for our draft pick.

our front office sees what this guy brings to the table for an offense.

An interesting stat from cnn/si is Chris Johnson's 10+ yard carries
G rsh yds avg lg td 1st
Runs of 10+ yards 12 37 1054 28.5 91 7 36 0 0 0 0

Now CJ's totals are:
Rush YDS AVG TD
272 1626 6.0 11

That means if you take away the 10+ yard runs CJ is running
rush YDS AVG

235 572 2.4

Now I know this isn't a complete picture. First of all, it would be insane to ignore that that he can hit the homerun so well. Furthermore, obviously many RBs pad their averages by the big gain. Also, the 10+ yard measure is an arbitrary line so that is also a hole in the logic. Maybe someone who has seen him play though can confirm this statistical observation. It looks to me like he is somewhat of an all or nothing back. He either hits a big play or gets stuffed for short gains. He isn't a workhorse who will run of a string of 4-6 yd gains. If so, how do you think that impacts our strategy (other than the obvious of making them one dimensional by scoring big and early).

Yes, he is a bad mofo. Every week I go the the NFL site to watch the dolphins and the Chris Johnson highlights.

I still think that on a better team Steven Jackson would be the best RB in the league. He has produced on crap teams for a while and with his size/speed/receiving ability/running ability combo is just ridiculous. If you put him behind our o-line, he would be unstoppable.

This year, I found a new player to claim as the "greatest player ever". Chris Johnson.

I'm going to take into consideration that you are very young
and have not seen film or video of some "older" players who changed the face of football such as

Jim Brown
1544 yards rushing...328 yards receiving
1446 yards rushing...340 yards receiving
1863 yards rushing...268 yards receiving
996 yards rushing....517 yards receiving
1408 yards rushing...459 yards receiving
1257 yards rushing...204 yards receiving
1329 yards rushing...190 yards receiving
1527 yards rushing...138 yards receiving
942 yards rushing ....55 yards receiving

First 5 years played 14 games a season
last 4 seasons played 12 games for the season

Jim Brown laughs at Chris Johnson even being considered "the greatest nfl player of all time"

Walter Payton ran for 16,726 yards with 10 seasons of over 1000 yards
Payton rolls over in his grave at Johnson's name being spoken as the best player ever.

Barry Sanders
1491 rushing...289 receiving
2053 rushing...305 receiving
1553 rushing...147 receiving
1500 rushing...398 receiving
1883 rushing...283 receiving
1115 rushing...205 receiving...only played 11 games
1352 rushing...225 receiving
1548 rushing...307 receiving
1304 rushing...480 receiving
1470 rushing...282 receiving

incredible ...simply incredible

Emmit Smith rushed for 18,355 yards with 11 thousand yard seasons...he also had 3,224 yards receiving over 15 years.

Now that's just a few running backs that have produced hall of fame numbers over a long period of time...Johnson needs to come back in another 10+ years before he's even considered a top 10 running back ...never mind the greatest player ever to play...Lawrence Taylor might have something to say regarding the "best player ever to play"

It borders on sacrilegious to even consider Johnson in the same breath as the players mentioned

nice one.. was that 13 posts? or 13 years old?

lol Ive been aroud here for a long time just on a new name, and lighten up it was all in good fun I realize the man is the best in the NFL but your talking him up a biiiiit to much.
