Too bad the booth didn't freaking review it. He was clearly not down and hadn't been touched for more than half a second before the ball came flying out. Oh well. Good effort, Fins.
And then you think ahead to that Ricky Williams run early on when there was about a 9 or 10 player pile up and they didn't blow the whistle until Ricky was wrestled down. This game hurts.
Agreed... I won't say that the whistle wasn't consistent with the rules... However, based on how they had been letting the play go on earlier in the game it was a bad whistle.
The fumble was close. I wouldn't say it was an excessively early whistle but I do think they should have let the play continue since Johnson was on his feet and still fighting for forward progress. I do believe it would've been a fumble if not for the whistle.
The call that really angered me was the personal foul on Camarillo. When Camarillo noticed that the Titans player wasn't down and a nearby Dolphins player was walking away, he immediately rushed to make sure he could down the player before he could get up. It was a heads up play and in no way deserving of a penalty. Just a really BS call.
