FYI
On the Steve Czaban show this morning (Fox) Chris Landry gave his take on the state of the Dolphins (I think they referred to it as a train wreck). He said:

1. The o-line isn't opening lanes for Ronnie and it's not onthe running backs.
2. The combination of the o-line providing little time for Daunte and his tendency to hold the ball too long affect Chambers and the receivers. Thus, the longer timing routes are not working and they need to change the passing gameplan (looks like that's the short stuff).
3. Chambers needs the ball
4. All Nick Saban teams get stonger as the year progresses.
5. We weren't a 9 win team last year. We aren't a 9 win team this year.

Steve Czaban went on to say that the 6 game win streak was as fraudulent as a 3 dollar bill.

How can you call something like that fraudulent? We beat six teams. We didn't cheat, it wasn't luck, it wasn't poor calls by the referees, we beat them. We didn't play the Colts or Bengals or any 'powerhouses' but we still played and beat six different NFL franchises consecutively, and you can't really take that away from the team.

Only 1 quality win out of those six - NE had backups in the game for the most part & were screwing around with dropkicks. Everyother team was a disaster last year, so yea, it is fradulent.

Quality win?? I was under the impression that all wins were worth 1 in the win column.

The streak, according to some, was fraudulent because it led them to over estimate how good this team was going to be. So our team is currently making a lot of people look bad. If we go on to improve significantly, everyone will point back to the 6 game win streak as the turning point...again

It really doesn't matter who the team is as this year has shown. But ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.....

I totally disagree - NE wasn't screwing around with dropkicks. They let Flutie try one at the end of the game - and he made it bythe way - they didn't give up any points by doing that. They won 3 division games period. No matter how bad these teams were last year - you always play your division tough.

The problem I see it was everyone factored the 6 game win streak into this year. New year - new players - new coaches - no impact on this year - should have never been factored in. Until this team gets an idenity on offense and can carry a swagger on D they are a .500 team at best. Say what you want about how great the D is but they CAN'T stop anyone on 3rd down. I've seen more 3rd and 8 completions against this team - it's ridiculous.

I see one win vs. a quality team and 3 divisional wins.

Who cares about last year?....we need to focus on righting the ship this year...or else we can start talking about who we are going to draft starting next week.

The New England game, they were sitting guys like Brady and such. Lots of second teamers. We probably get beat that day if they played their starters.

But aside from that, you can't say the streak was bogus. We simply beat the teams in front of us. You can say that it wasn't as impressive at it looks on paper. But to say it's "faudulent as a $3 bill" is pretty well off the mark. We definitely played better in those wins than we did while we were losing. And coming off a 4-12 season and a 3-7 start......

Also, being down 23-3 late in the 3rd and coming back.....no matter who you're playing....is a quality win. The Oakland win came on the road after a 22-0 blowout at Cleveland when the season appeared TOTALLY lost. San Diego, we beat a better team at the time. New York we struggled but won. Who hasn't?? Tennessee we won like we should have.

1.characterized by, involving, or proceeding from fraud, as actions, enterprise, methods, or gains: a fraudulent scheme to evade taxes. 2.given to or using fraud, as a person; cheating; dishonest.

How were the games dishonest? We beat teams fair and square, no tuck rule or any of that, no music city miracle arguments. It was fair, we won. Not fraudulent.
