Is he gonna do well? I wonder how many snaps he will get...maybe he will be pretty good and theyll find a role for him instead of trying to get him to gain weight to do this and that..just let him rip

The Jags are going to run right at him. He weighs 240 lbs? This is concerning.
Hopefully it will be in obvious 3rd and long only.

agreed...i dont think he can do much at the POA on running plays, but lets see...i think he has a shot at being a solid situational edge rusher..too damn lanky IMO to be a LB

3rd down yea but any other down is a liability at that weight...assume the coaches know this though. You know what happens when you assume!

Where did you read that?

Incidentally, McCain said he has been practicing exclusively at defensive end this week because of the Dolphins' injuries at the position.

"I really thought yesterday he was busting his tail out here at practice," Joe Philbin said. "He looks very good this week in preparation.”

McCain is 6'5" and 245. He can play at that weight if he makes plays at that weight, which he has not been doing. Remember that we can move Misi up and him back as well, which we have done with Jordan and OV.

It'd certainly help if he knew where he was playing. If he was moved to DE full time then he should consider bulking up to 255 next offseason. OLB then maybe 245 is ok enough. If he does spell DEs today then we have to expect obvious passing downs right?
