I think he is just calling it what he sees, high level. I'm not getting overly excited about beating up on the Panthers. That being said that was the best we have looked (pre-season or not) In a long time on the offensive side of the ball.
 
2 quarters of good football and the Fins are turning heads! WOW!
 
Who knew putting a QB in a system that fits him would yield good results..
 
All these so called experts are gonna ALL do some back talking after we are 4-0!
 
I think Mort has been pretty fair to us. Let's face it....we have been an average (7-9) team the last couple years and not as good as the Patriots or Jets. We're the #3 team in a 4 team division. Yes, we can still beat the Jets and Pats from time to time, but they are the ones winning division titles and getting to the AFC Championship games. I do think we are moving in the right direction, and for me that's all I care about at this point.
 
It looks like we have an offense that attacks on every play. It's so refreshing. We've played prevent offense for so long now. If we attack on offense, and we end up 8-8 I'll still be happy. At least we went down fighting.

All I know is he and Ditka seemed to be the only experts that would pick the Phins to win every now and then in Harder games. He may not have Spoke about the Phins, but his picks indicated he thought something positive of the team

BH is the most over looked, under rated player on this team. he would be a pro bowler on many other teams. maybe one of our qb's will be the guy that can actually get the ball to him this year?

Sorry but Hartline is more like a #4 or #5 receiver on many other teams.
 
LOL at Mort. He flip flops more than a politician at election time.

That said, I still like to hear good things said about Miami. So kudos for Mort for getting his head out of his @ss.
 
Chris Mortenson also picked the Bengals to go to the superbowl last season.
 
i can't disagree with mort. towards the second half of the season i don't think anybody is going to look forward to playing us. win or lose we are going to be getting after that a$$. hopefully people will just continue to sleep on us.
 
I'm curious about what the Fat Tuna will have to say about his 'former' team, and what he will say his impact has been. Mort's been fair... we were not a very good team in the past, now we have some weapons.
