-He's been told "very reliably" that Daunte Culpepper and Nick Saban have had some 20 phone calls between each other in the past week.

-It came down to the Dolphins not being comfortable with what the team doctors told them about Drew Brees's shoulder.

-In a recent test, Daunte Culpepper's reconstructed knee was "tighter" than his normal knee, which is "a good sign."

-Dolphins will attempt to re-sign Gus Frerotte, and if they can't, they may look at Patrick Ramsey.

Patrick Ramsey??? what for??? u do know if we get Ramsey that means we probably have to give up a draft pick for him. is Saban really gonna give up another pick????

Mort also said the Minny doctors went down to Orlando to see how Culpeppers knee was...and they had him "running in the parking lot"! Anyone else hear this? He's running already?

Priority #1 with QBs is probably to resign Gus. As many people that hate him... he is acclamated with the receivers and can be productive. He is a great insurance policy. His knowledge of the system and his previous relationship with Daunte in this same capacity could make the whole situation very easy to digest for Daunte and the Phins.

Gus has tremendous value to us. For $1M - $2M year, he is exactly what we need to protect the Culpepper investment.

I believe the Skins may actually release Ramsey soon if nobody offers picks for him, so we may be able to just sign him as a FA rather than trade for him...

It would be great if he can, but I'd rather the guy still take it easy.

GOOD POINT.. I THINK HE WILL NOT GET STARTING JOB OUT THERE, SO BE A BACK UP HERE IN MIAMI

lol hes already running??? thats awesome. some people say Culpepper wont be ready until mid-season....then people say by the first game he should be ready. NOW people say hes already running.

i would like to see us pick up mckown as a back up he's young got an arm and has some legs too he can roll out of the pocket and with the uncertainty of culpeppers knee i think he would be a good fit to maybe start the first couple games

All I have to say is that this acquisition has the team excited and pumped for 06! Chris Chambers especially! You also know this is going to attract more fans to the games...thats a definite!
