Clay on his huge TD

Keep in mind this time last year everyone considered this guy a bum, crazy what a little patience and opportunitiy can provide.

ive loved the guy since we got him. I just thought he needed an opportunity to grow and play and he has stepped up. I will admit I thought I was wrong until this year

I was really hoping we could resign Keller next year. After seeing Clay be the best offensive weapon we have this season, Keller is an afterthought.

I think you greatly underestimate what Clay AND Keller could do for us.

I'm in that boat. I grew tired of his inconsistency leading up to this season in the preseason. Liked him before but I reached my tipping point, glad I wasn't in charge of that one. He has been a flat out stud.

Not necessarily if Egnew can block - cuz with Clay's emergence, the mind boggles at what Tannehill could have accomplished with him, Keller - and a healthy Gibson also for that matter.

Clay reminds me of Byars and Kirby.

Kirby...Exactly - same number - same build - same ability...
Can RT learn what Dan and Kirby were SO good at - that little wheel pattern, or the dump off.
Man the Dolphins constantly got down field with that dump off - it drove teams crazy.

He looks deceptively big. They have trouble bringing him down.
Did you also notice that it was Clay who was shoving Troy Polumalu over the boundary in what turned out to be the interception TD. There wasn't enough evidence to prove/disprove the TD called. However, Charles Clay was trying very hard and his physical effort in to prevent the TD was good - Polumalu was flying.

Clay has good size, but his best attribute is his experience as a running back.....when he gets the ball in his hands, he has enough savvy and strength to "make something happen". I love seeing players like this get their chance and seize the opportunity.
