He just the Alabama Crusade bought Saban and the Dolphins an extra day to ensure Brees will visit South Florida.
He also said that Dolphins are basically deciding between Brees and Culpepper. They just want to get him at a cheaper price.
Im just gald that the Fins will get a shot at Brees.

who did they say is in the driver seat?
I was looking at the Saints forum and they said that on ESPN radio Clayton said Brees will make the trip to Miami. Supposedly that meeting this morning convinced Brees to make the trip to Miami and not sign with the Saints tonight. Clayton supposedly said that the Saints are still the favorite, but anything can happen. IMO, if he makes it to Miami, he won't be going back to New Orleans.

Saint fans also seem to think that have no shot at Brees now.

He said that the Saints have a SLIGHT edge. But that is only because he has visited them and not the Dolphins. He said that after tommorrow it could be even again or the Dolphins could pull ahead.

or it could be that he visits us and saban doesnt like what he sees so he calls up the vikes before brees leaves to make sure we can get daunte still

This is great news. Saban and Mueller are two of the top negotiators in the league. They will make it very hard for Brees to turn them down.

haha, that's some funny stuff over on the NO board. And I thought OUR board was full of too many pessimistic posts!

So basicly Brees would've been a Saint by tonight if Saban and Mueller didn't fly down there to meet with him this morning.

Another smart move by the Saban-nator.

So it seems.

we will never know...but we do know that he definitely won't be a Saint tonight and Saban and Mueller's visit made that a definite.

Saban and Mueller, I salute you! :hail:

I cracked up at the pics of Wayne and Benson, and the next post said "yeah, he's a Dolphin" or something like that. At least most of the fans there appear to be somewhat realistic. We could use a little more of that around these parts at times.
