not sure if this was posted earlier as i just heard it but on espn news they just said that the reason why porter came so quick to miami was b/c not only did they fly to his home taking waynes plane on sunday and told him they will make him an offer he can't refuse, but hte main reason was b/c they told him he will line up opposite to taylor and that he couldnt' resist. that the duo would be just fierce.

He also said NFC East.We are in the AFC ,His goof.
But he did say it was a good move.I think that he is a freakn beast.

I really am impressed that they went after him and snatched him up.We have some go getters in the FO.

same her ei hope so. we are paying him waht? 6.5 right? we didnt wna pay lavar 5.5 right? or we wanted 5.5 but not more.

Porter is in a whole different class.We needed him and we got him.I am not trippn on the money Porter got.
He deserves it.

Porter did have 13.5 sacks last year.That means we have 2 of the top 4 sackers in the NFL on are team.


Iam so happy we have people that know wjat is up.
 
porter had 7 sacks last year and 10.5 the year before that
 
I predict he will have at least 10 sacks this year. count on it. that and a couple interceptions and we are gold.
 
I also think the biggest thing that he is going to bring to this team is nastyness on that side of the ball. JT and ZT are very good players, but they are nice guys, I think Porter could give that team some nasty attitudes and they will come out next year destroying people.
 
I'm not sure that Porter has that much left in the tank. Why did the Steelers cut him if his cap # was only 5 mill. That's not a big # for an all-pro linebacker. He has had surgery prior to the last two seasons. Don't get me wrong, I want him to be very good, but is he still "in his prime"? If not, we overpaid, big-time.

because their new coach is a 4-3 coach and porter doesn't fit in a 4-3, so they are probably starting to make that transition of getting rid of the solely 3-4 players and getting guys who can play both the 4-3 and the 3-4...
 
to add on arsenal's point, besides not playing well in a 4-3, i believe tomlin might not like some of joey's antics. Not saying tomlin hated the guy, but that and the defensive scheme probably sent him packing.
